Terrible service! Our water went out, our regular guy was on vacation, and with a new 2 week old baby in the house we called them since they were the only people who would come right away. What a mistake! We should have gone to a hotel for two nights and waited for our regular guy to come back. It would have been a LOT cheaper even at the most expensive hotel around! First the guy came out and told me our well pump had burned out, which was odd since we had just replaced it a year and a half ago. OK we were thinking maybe we just got unlucky and had a bad one. It took him two hours to rip up our pump and told us it was going to cost TWICE as much to put in a new one as if had just cost us a year and a half ago! He then proceeded to lie about the wires to the house being bad, and a ton of other things that needed replaced. We freaked out and called our guy who told us to send the crooks away and he would come back early to fix it. The pump was NOT burned out! Took him maybe 30 minutes to fix it and put everything back together and charged us about $100. We then got a bill from Harley for $600! For what? They didnt fix anything, didnt replace any parts, lied to us, and there is no way anyone is getting paid $300 an hour. I called up and we went round and the owner argued with me that his guys said they were there for twice as long and insisted that they were right that the whole thing needed replaced. When I told him I wanted an itemized bill and was filling a complaint with the BBB he suddenly cut the bill in half. Still way more than it should have been for not fixing anything and lieing and arguing. Complete and total crooks!

We lost our water yesterday and called Harley the Plumber. We were told we needed a new Submersible Pump for our well. It was Sunday so we knew the rates would be a little higher. But Im getting so much flack from friends and neighbors about what crooks you guys are, it made me wonder. I went online to Franklin Submersible Pumps and entered all the info on our new one. You charged us $2,500., a new pump costs between $400-485. I cannot believe that you scalped us that much!!! The gentleman who came was very nice, he was here for about 4 hours, and very professional. But I cant believe the cost. We wont be using your services again. You should be ashamed for what you charge people who are in a bind. Have a little compassion for Gods sake!! Joseph and Deborah Johnston Hermon

I called Harley Plumbing and was first quoted for a clog in my drain. I knew where the clog was and figured it would be a simple fix. The woman over the phone gave me the $60 trip charge b/s and a low quote for the job of $140 and a high of $250 (just to get an idea of what I would spend). Once the guy got here he didnt even bother to look at my plumbing and quoted me well over $300 to fix the problem at hand. Since I didnt want to pay a retarded trip charge for NOTHING I just let him go at doing his work. He just tore the toilet off and snaked the line for 15 minutes and was done, some hourly rate there. This company (in my honest opinion) is just a big rip-off. You have been warned.

When our water backed up on a Sunday we called Harely because we knew they offered 24/7 service. After talking to a technician we decided our issue could wait until Monday morning. First thing Monday Harley called us to set up an appointment. Someone came out in the middle of a snow storm, stayed for hours, fixed the problem, and gave us advice on how to prevent it from happening in the future. They were clean and charged us the price they quoted. I was very thankful they gave the option of waiting until Monday to save us money, when they could have charged us more for a Sunday call.

Called Harley to have them investigating plumbing issues. They said at that time the charge would be $60 just to come to the door, even if no work was done. They came and investigated the problem and suggested an ripoff price of $300 for putting in a new kitchen faucet. We declined the work, then they told us we now owed them $95 for "diagnostic work". So basically the $60 quoted price became $95 as soon as we told them we werent interested in having them do the work. A call to the owner the next day resulted in him arguing with us!

Harley Plumbing & Heating have gotten us out of more than a few house-related jams. As new, not-especially-handy homeowners, we appreciate their honesty, friendly service, availability, and willingness to walk us through what theyre doing so we know how to avoid having to call them in the future. They may or may not be the cheapest game in town, but they know what theyre doing, are very patient and understanding while here, and always seem to get the job done as efficiently and thoroughly as possible.

Very professional, knowledgable, polite Harley plumbers have installed a bathroom vanity faucet set and a kitchen faucet set in our home. We will definitely call Harley again when/if we have plumbing related issues. Feb 27, 2012

Impossible to schedule an appointment! They will lie to you, wait days, and act rudely on the phone. All I wanted was someone to fix a toilet. It shouldnt be that hard to give a company your business...

The service was really friendly and professional. Weekends are never cheap for service, but they did their best to minimize our costs. They were worth every penny!
