So here I am, a scrawny nerd with blonde hair that needs to go. Ive never gotten my hair cut in Portland before, so I just went with a place that was open past five. Momentum. I walk in and instantly see a bunch of what I deemed "typical bros". I read some of the other reviews here and saw quite a lot of bad ones. This mixed with me being a nerd? I almost walked out. But the atmosphere made me stay. The good tunes and laughter between them was great. They were extremely nice to some younger kids and totally threw me off with their awesome personalities. So I get in the chair, expecting that because theyre "dudes" the proper care wouldnt be taken. I was wrong. He took more time than anyone Ive known to cut my hair. He focused on so many details and even offered his opinion on how to keep up with it. It was amazing. Ive gotten so many compliments in less than an hour already! Whats more is this: Im not very talky with strangers. Most barbers/ hair dressers pester me no matter how quiet I stay. This guy? He let me do me. Talked only to update me on what he was doing, while bring polite and understanding of my silence. Im struck by how awesome a simple hair it was. Guys, please, keep up the good work. If I was a richer man I would have tipped more than a five. 10/10. Would absolutely come again. P.s: throw some tech n9ne on from time to time!

I have known Anthony for many years, once I found out he was cutting hair I had to come Down And see it out for myself. So today I brought my 6 yr old son down for him to cut my sons hair. I walked into the shop i definitely was given a good vide about this spot. I was blown away by not only all the barbers all had ppl in there chairs and with a few guys waiting for there time to get a cut. Also that the shop shop was very clean. all then guys were very friendly, made for a great spot to be. They also sell sneakers , fitted hats , watches ect... They are priced very fair especially for the location in the Portlands Old port area. I was blown away when I saw my sons cut! It looks amazing !!! I couldnt be happier and plan to go back when he is ready for a touch up.

The hairdressers were a bunch of dumb bros who initially ignored me, and then passed me off to a newbie because they didnt want to touch my hair. The newbie asked if he could just buzz everything because that would be easier, and then when I refused and ask that he give me the haircut I requested (inch on the sides, inch and a half on top), he proceeded to buzz and cut with open disgust because I had longer hair. If youre a douche bag, youll probably fit in here with no problems. Otherwise, please spend your money elsewhere.

This is a popular place so calling ahead to make an appointment will get you the barber you want, they do welcome walk ins and their are plenty of shops, restaurants, and bars in the area to visit while you wait. This barber shop also sells sneakers and mens grooming products. They cut men, women, and childrens hair, I left with a fresh cut and razor cleaned edges.

Walked in, loved the atmosphere and aesthetics of Momentum. I didnt have an appointment but I was in the chair 10 minutes after walking in, even though the place was packed. My barber, Joey, was very professional and made the experience enjoyable. High quality and very cheap for such a great haircut. I am going to recommend Momentum to all of my friends!

Called at six thirty seven and was told they were closing in ten minutes. I asked if that was enough time for a haircut. Their response was to repeat that they were closing in ten minutes.which is inconsistent with the posted hours, but whatever. Then the dude hung up on me. I called another place and scheduled for tomorrow. Way to treat new customers.

This is the ONLY place that cuts my hair the way that I like it cut. I drive 2 hours each way for this place. They are attentive and know their stuff!! I wont go anywhere else. I am female and like a nice clean, sharp cut and they have never let me down.

Three days after my first haircut here I had a woman hit on me at Pearl because of it. Her opening line was literally, "You have the best hair cut in here." Do I really, honestly, need to say more? I sure as f**k hope not. Cheers!

Been going here for a haircut for a while. I dont get anything fancy, and they dont pressure me to get anything fancy. Works perfect for me. One of the better places for a mens haircut in Portland.

worst haircut!... dude left my sideburns uneven and cut it too short on top when I said leave it long. never going back. can a get a better cut for a cheaper price. NOT recommended
