DONT GO ANYWHERE ELSE! Seriously. I would give these guys my car and my credit card and tell them to have at it. For an example as to why you should come here: I took my car to a different local mechanic for an inspection since Cottage Road had a wait, and was told I needed $300 of work (power steering and brake fluid flushes, etc). Despite a great deal of pressure to get those services done right then and there, I decided to wait and have them done at Cottage Road. When I called Cottage Road to schedule it, the man who I spoke with informed me that usually power steering and brake flushes arent necessary; however theyd be happy to take a look to make sure. Sure enough, they looked my car over and told me that my car was fine, and no flushes were necessary. Their honesty saved me $300 of completely unnecessary work. My boyfriend has had similarly awesome experiences with this crew. Stop reading reviews now and take your car to Cottage Road. You wont be disappointed.

Will not use anyone else. I called 5 shops for a quote. They came in least expensive for the exhaust but not the brakes. I had the brakes done first at another shop and was told I needed 4 ball joints. I had to wait until I got the money.Took the car in to get the exhaust done at Cottage road service and asked for an inspection sticker as well. When I got the call later that day Vinnie told me he would be happy to put the whole exhaust on, but I only needed one pipe so he saved me 2/3 the cost I had already agreed to pay! He also told me he couldnt give me the sticker because I needed a new ball joint. "Just one?" I asked, and he confirmed that he checked the other 3 and they are indeed fine. I asked if I should have the two on the same side done if i was having the one done anyway, and he told me no need. I was impressed from the start with how friendly everyone was. Its so hard to find a solid, honest mechanic, and Im glad I have found mine.

I had a problem with the EGR system. I do all my own work, but this had me stumped. I went to the dealer finally and paid $100 for diagnosis. The fellow was nice enough, but after 15 years on Saturns, he had no clue. "Clean the spark plug cables" he says, "and shine up the coil mount." Finally on a tip from a clerk at NAPA I tried this place. This gentleman is a teacher of Auto Tech at SMTC or whatever they call it nowadays. He had a handheld device that he brought to me out in the waiting room, that showed the varying voltages on all the sensors of my car, running out in the bay. He showed that my aft O2 sensor was essentially afloat — not connected. Even the dealership doesnt have this kind of equipment! Quite something, I must say.

Vinny his crew were great. On the recommendation of Caption Tom of Lucky Catch lobster tours, I had a truck problem that needed looking at. We had travelled to Maine on vacation and where heading back to Minnesota the next morning. We stopped in and explained our problem in a matter of minutes they had our truck on a lift and identified the noise. It was determined not to be s safety concern and had us back on the road in less than an hour.This is what great customer service is all about.

After my roommate had a positive experience with these guys I decided to take my car in for an oil change and to have the wiper fluid checked since it was working intermittently. First off they are very friendly to speak with and explained things thoroughly. Second it ended up taking longer than expected so they didnt charge me for the services, and were apologetic for the delay. I know I will be going back here in the future!
