I got sick of paying $50-$60 for a haircut from a stylist who never listens. So I walked in here one day not sure if they did womens hair. Well suprise, they do and theyre AWESOME! I got a beautiful wash, cut, and style for $20. I decided to make a major change and cut off 12 inches of hair. My stylist walked me through the entire haircut sensitive to my reaction and feelings about everything from layers to razors and length. All the while the stylists and guests were entertaining interesting conversations and poking fun. I had a great time and was completely at ease. I walked out looking gorgeous with a smile on my face and money in my pocket. Ive had a gazillion compliments on my cut and no one would guess I only paid $20 instead of the usual $50-$60. Who said getting your hair done had to be boring and expensive?

Good haircuts for guys at a reasonable price ($12.00) if you can put up with the people that work there. They cant keep straight who walked in when and have no system of making sure everyone gets served in order. Meanwhile theyre busy yapping about god-knows-what as customers pile in the door. When this happes, youll want to watch whats happening to your hair. They also rent a chair to an older gentlemen who none of them talk to which makes for an awkward scene. Good luck!

I went to get a haircut for an important event and my barbershop was closed for a holiday break. I needed to find a local shop to get my hair taken care of and stumbled upon 40 West. I was presently surprised with the love, diversity and friendliness that I experienced. To top it off, the price for a mens cut was wonderful and they did such an AWESOME job! Ive definitely found my new barber in Catonsville!

This barber shop is a great place to get your cut. While I am there I notice children, women & men happy with their look when they are done. Fantastic rates & friendly service. It is very clean & comfortable and everybody gets along. (They just give each other a hard time so it has that classic barber shop feel ) I am very glad that I found this place.

Go on Sunday/ Go to Kathy/ Her only day/ If you are a guy, just bring a $20 bill and give it to her She will give you a GREAT cut/ If you cant swing Sunday, Tyler is good during the week/ Also, get some Pho soup a few doors to the left and/or get some great food at H-Mart to the right

Alright hair cut, but I dont think they know how to cut ethnic/asian hair. They tried to do the whole bowl cut with me when I asked for something different. Cheap, but I would rather pay more to have it done right. Word advice dont cut bangs straight across.

Hidden gem in the 21228 on Rt 40. My hair was cut exactly as I had asked for and Ms. Pat was very pleasant and a good conversationalist. Friendly vibe among all the stylists and patrons. Great price for a cut but bring cash or a check book.
