There are not enough words to describe how great Sally McDermott Dance Center is! My daughter started there this past year! She is 5 years old! From the very beginning the studio was incredibly welcoming! My daughter has grown so much this past year and I have Ms. Kat and everyone else who works at the studio to thank for that! We are now enjoying summer camp and my daughter is so sad that it is ending! My oldest daughter is 8 and incredibly shy! She made a big decision to take the American Girl Doll summer camp at Sallys. She loves it! What an amazing week for my girls! My super shy daughter now wants to take a dance class! I look forward to many great years at Sallys! Thank you to Sally, Ms. Kat, Mrs. Foley, Mrs. Kennedy and everyone else at the studio for being AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Sally McDermott Dance Centers taught me the art of dance for 14 years. The teachers, staff, and other families who attend the dance school are all apart of a larger community that raise each dancer to become the absolute greatest version of him or herself. Yes, I developed and honed my passion for dance at the studio, but I truly learned so much more. SMDC taught me to love and respect myself and others, it taught me to lead, it taught me to positively express myself, it taught me how to work through challenges, it taught me to be proud of my accomplishments, it taught me how to be apart of a team, and most importantly, it taught me to make the perfect ballet bun.

I would (and have!) recommend this studio to anyone in the area. I switched over to SMDC in my late teens and wish I had grown up dancing there. Coming from a studio that focused on developing individual stars and left everyone else in the dust, it was so refreshing to be part of a TEAM where everyone was pushed to be their best and contribute to the success of the group. The teachers are always bringing I new fresh ideas, but it doesnt lose its home-town family feel. Any dancer would be lucky to grow up at this studio.

My 2 daughters are starting their 5th year dancing at SMDC, they couldnt be any happier. They are learning age appropriate dance techniques, with age appropriate costumes, from teachers that truly care. The entire staff is so caring and helpful. They are learning dance, but also how to be a helpful, kind individual. They have found their 2nd home.

They learn about commitment, teamwork, and having a positive attitude. Sally and all her teachers are always available to talk to and are super friendly. I cant imagine being anywhere else .

Ive been involved with this studio for years and years... First dancing here myself and now bringing my daughters. Though the instructors have changed over the years they have always been caring and wonderful. They push their students but not to the point of breaking down their spirit- they empower and encourage.

I wouldnt reccommend this dance studio to anyone! Sally and her staff of instructors are extremely rude and often mean to their dancers. The last recital they proved their inability to teach when the young group butchered their dance so bad they had to start over and still failed to perform it correctly.

My daughter has been dancing at SMDC for 5 years....since she was 3. The staff is excellent and really teach appropriately for each age. They took a little toddler and have made her into a graceful ballerina. This place is more than just a studio to us--its family.
