So this was my 1st visit and Im sooooo in looooovvvvveeeee with my new do!!! I came in with long, black, waist-length hair that has been the same dull layered look for the past 10yrs. I have been very intrigued by the balayage style of highlighting (or babylighting since I have dark hair) after seeing Guy Tang on YouTube, who is a fabulous hairdresser in California. I have been skeptical about getting it done bc some of the salons I checked with here in Mass had no clue what I was talking about. When I came across Evolve Hair Designs on Yelp, I went to their website and one of the services listed was balayage (hair painting), so I decided to give it a shot. And omg Im sooooo glad I did!!! I found a video Guy Tang did where he gave his client a "Lob" haircut with babylights and showed it to my hairdresser, AMBERLEE......man this girl did an AWESOME JOB!!!! I will definitely be coming back to see her for my future hair appointments!! I was the last client of the day and the appt went well after closing time, but she was super cool about it. I had such a great experience and I would definitely recommend her and this salon to others!!

Yesterday I had my second visit at Evolve. It is a clean and organized place. The owner seems nice as well as all the workers. The first time I went in for baliage I had it done with someone that no longer works there, my hair was very dark so I new it was not going to come out as light blond as I wanted the color came out nothing like I imagined but it was a beautiful color so I kept it and enjoyed it for a few months and the hopes of going back and getting it lighter later.... Yesterday I was there and not only is the hair a yellow blond that I said from the beginning I dont like ... my hair looks like I had highlights done it looks nothing like baliage, the blow-dry at the end was bad I came home and had to go over with the straightener and the color not only did not come out the way I wanted but also I cant waite to get it off my head.

Evolve is amazing and Lia, the owner, is fantastic!! The salon itself is very clean and organized and they always offer you coffee or water when you walk in. I called somewhat last minute for wedding hair and makeup and Lia made sure I was taken care of! I went for a trial and Lia and Amberlee tried a couple different styles until we found one that worked. On my wedding day Amberlee did my makeup and Lia did my hair up do, both of which turned out great! I am so thankful for both of them for making me feel awesome on my wedding day! Overall a great experience and I will definitely be recommending to my friends/family! Thank you!

I have had a very difficult time finding someone who can consistently give good hair cuts. I have been to several barbors from the North Shore to Boston and nobody has been able to cut my hair like Olga at Evolve. She was able to design a custom hair cut based on my individual needs. She really pays attention to detail. My hair has never looked so good. She also gives amazing scalp massages while she shampoos your hair!

She has is the only person I trust to do my hair because I love changing my hair color but I know the integrity of my hair will never be comprised. The space is trendy and welcoming to everyone. I loved getting my hair done. The shade of blonde that I want my hair to be is really hard to achieve, and Lia was able to color it perfectly!!! The salon is really clean, and everyone is really nice. Ive never met a stylist with the color skills that she had. I cant wait to go back!
