Decided to try this place based on the online recommendations, and booked an appointment with Ariel (she was open on the day/time I was available.) Really nice gal who gave me a great layered cut, did exactly what I asked, and was very personable. All for $35! The other stylists seemed very knowledgeable as well, judging by the conversations and cuts going on around me. Everyone was very professional. Salon was very clean. The salon assistant seemed constantly busy sweeping and cleaning. Small and intimate, and conveniently located in Vinnin Square (well... convenient if you live in Swampscott anyway). I will go back, and will probably send my husband there as well, judging by the number of mens cuts that were being done. And if Donna was the gal cutting in the chair next to us, I would say she deserves her rep - nice, chatty, lady who really seemed to know her stuff (and had fantastic personal style to boot).

First of all, Marina is warm, personable, and funny. She will make you laugh while working on your hair and time will just fly by! I went to see Marina at Peacock Alley and she did such a great job coloring and styling my hair! Where has she been all my life? This woman just knows hair. She is a genius when it comes to hair color and suggested the perfect highlights for my dark hair. She is also a master of hair cuts. She turned my short hair into a masterpiece. I literally get stopped on the street by women. They compliment my hair and have to know where I got it done. I suggest you see Marina as soon as possible if you want to feel glamorous. Thank you Marina for making me feel beautiful!

I have been going to Donna for about 2 years. She always gives me a great cut. I have thick hair and she is like a surgeon. She is very detail oriented. I still go to Donna even though I moved to Newton.
