For my wedding, my father and I wanted our father-daughter dance to be unique. We wanted ballroom dance moves, but choreographed to a non-traditional song that had special meaning to us: Star Trek: The Next Generations theme song (yes, were nerds). This certainly was not what JJ was expecting when we came in for our first dance lesson, but he worked with us to craft something that not only looked great, but fit the music perfectly! (Our dance even got a standing ovation from everyone in attendance at my wedding.) Working with JJ was one of the most fun wedding-related activities I did. He is an incredibly professional and effective instructor, not to mention a fun and engaging person. (Being able to teach two awful dancers ballroom dance, then choreograph their dance to a Star Trek theme song and pull off a standing ovation at the wedding after said people perform the dance requires serious talent!) Id recommend JJ to any bride-to-be, or other person looking to learn some moves.

My husband and I took one marathon lesson from JJ before our wedding. We learned some solid moves and we had a lot of fun in the process. JJ pays great attention to detail and he has set up a great system to document the learning process so that we were able to practice what we learned at home. Since we only had one lesson, we didnt learn any thing too complicated, but we saw some before and after photos of other couples that were amazing. We have great memories of our evening with JJ and highly recommend him if you want to learn to dance and have a fun time doing it!

JJ is the best at making you feel comfortable, confident and ready for your first big dance as a married couple! He is very professional and experienced in all forms of ballroom dance. Our song was pretty tricky but he found the perfect style for our routine. I also love that he videos tapes moves at each lesson so that we can practice at home.

Took a group salsa dance lesson with JJ as the teacher. Normally I find Salsa to be difficult but he did an excellent job of explaining how to do it properly.
