Amazing! I felt like I was in love... with food! I actually stumbled upon Belmont Vegetarian Restaurant on accident today as I was driving through Worcester. I live over an hour away and will surely be back! Ive been a Vegan since August 2010 and this is the best meal Ive ever had... even before then. I walked in and the very nice man working asked if that was my first time. I said "Yes". He gave me a sample of everything to try. Todays menu was lasagna, mac & cheese, cabbage, pepper steak, curry tofu (Looked like scrambled eggs), some chicken stuff, and a veggie/bean stir fry it looked like. Well, everything was so good I could not make up my mind so I got a large plate of everything. Considering the amount given (Which was enough for lunch, dinner and tomorrows lunch too) the prices are very fair. I felt like I was in heaven as I was eating it, because it was so good! My DH who is a "Meat eater" tried the pepper steak and would not have known it wasnt real if I didnt tell him. He said next time hell get some food there too. My favorite is hard to decide upon, but I guess it would be the pepper steak too, although next time Ill get everything again. I highly recommend this place if you are going to be in the area. Heck, I plan on going down every few months just to go here. The tofu was impressive. I hate tofu any other way I had it cooked, but his was amazing. IDK how he did it, but I had to ask him if the lasagna was real too because it tasted like the real thing. He assured me only Vegan cheese was used. Amazing customer service, amazing food at a good price. It was like Vegan soul food. Oh I had a Veggie patty too which was also excellent.

Very very unpleased with the way our food was selected. We specifically asked for what we wanted from the menu on the wall. Even pointed at what we wanted to be as specific as possible. He gave us what he thought we should have. Let it slide the first time, also the second time. Third time you lose us as customers and I let people know. You should really stick to serving customers what they ask for. Some people need to stay away from certain foods specifically. I honestly should not have accepted the food when we seen it, but didnt want to cause a negative situation. Unfortunately, this mishap cost us. We will not be returning to this place. Good Luck.

Visting from Austin, TX - Thought I would swing by and check out the Belmont and WOW - I am SO HAPPY I DID! - Not only is the owner/cook/only employee the most soft spoken, happy, welcoming guy (he let me try everything on the menu and I didnt even ask) - but the food is seriously beyond what I expected from the tiny hole-in-the-wall...... worth the trip. If I lived in Boston, I would drive there at least once a month just to hangout.... Hope he gets a food trailer in Austin someday, he would make a killing.

INCREDIBLE!! Had catering (which was very affordable for the amount of food we got) and it was absolutely LOVED by everyone who ate it. We were worried about having a party with only vegan food when all the guests would be avid meat-eaters, but it went off without a hitch because of the BBQ from Belmont Veg. The food is almost as amazing as the owner, who goes above and beyond to make his customers happy. Honestly, Everyone was raving about how delicious it was!!

So yummy and healthy and delicious. I love all their food. The curry is so good and the spicy steak is to die for. Both the curry and the spicy steak dont have the yucky (pardon) texture of tofu which is nice. When I arrived, there was a Jamaican man giving a huge thank you to the Chef saying this is the only place in Worcester with real vegan Jamaican. Nice job! I will definitely be going here again.

I had the Mac and cheese, the steamed vegetables, the smoked beans and tofu, with the brown rice, my girlfriend had the same but got the BBQ instead of the steamed vegetables. It was delicious, you couldnt even tell that the BBQ didnt have any meat, the Mac and cheese was amazing, and the beans with the tofu were equally great. Definitely check this place out, whether youre vegan or not.

Belmont Vegetarian is AMAZING!!!!!! The staff were so friendly and the food... well its one of the best "comfort food" vegan places I have ever been to. I got some curry, some bbq tofu and rice. The price was reasonable and I got two meals out of it. Every time I visit Worcester (which is often!) I will be back <3

Everything Steve cooks is outstanding. We love his vegetable stew, spicy pepper steak and tender collard greens. Another highlight is his curried chickpeas over white rice. Steamed veggies and cabbage have the perfect blend of Jamaican seasonings. All the food is healthy, flavorful and fun to eat.

I traveled an hour to eat here and it was sooooo worth it! Absolutely DELICIOUS!! I ended up buying another plate before I left for the next day! If youre in the area, give this place a try! Super friendly staff, variety, and flawless recipes.

I talked to Steve, the owner, for a few minutes. Hes super nice and the food is incredible! Its not just good for vegan food, its good compared to all food. I cant recommend this place highly enough. Id go back any time Im in Worcester.

Hidden gem. No fluff vegan. Menu options on chalk wall, definitely choose the large and tell them a little of each. The food is amazing. One of the best vegan options I have ever had. Super nice staff and chill atmosphere.
