Last week I called Extraordinary Kitchens to come out and quote re-doing my formica kitchen counters. I also asked , how does cabinet re-facing work. A salesperson named Tom came out, he spent almost 2 hours with us showing us counter tops and samples of re-facing cabinets. I told him that we werent sure about the cabinets and he suggested that we can do a trim package on the cabinets and the formica counter tops. I also asked him if they did Granite and he responded yes, and sent me to Mont to look at samples. I called him a few days later and told him that my wife and I had decided on doing granite and the trim package, he then raised his price on the granite and told us that Home Depot could do it cheaper, and they are very good. When I told him that I still wanted to go with him, then he told me that they couldnt make my timeline and again, suggested to go to Home Depot. I once again said that my wife did not want to go to Home depot and we would work around his timeline. He again refused. So I asked him straight out , Obviously , you dont want to do this job, and he admitted that they are only interested in doing full kitchen remodels. Very disappointing experience and waste of time, very unprofessional company.. John, Its ok, I had agreed to your price , I was willing to work with your timeline, I just think it was handled very unprofessionally. I dont need a handyman, I wanted a company to install my granite counters and do the trim. Thats all.

Our kitchen isnt just a place to cook. For us, its where we gather. Because its a big job we put it off for years because I know Im a contractors worst nightmare. My ideas were all over the place. I wanted particular touches but couldnt explain how I wanted them implemented. Not to mention, the husbands ideas. Between the two of us, we kind of thought we knew what we wanted...and still couldnt explain it. So we had the guys from Extraordinary Kitchens come out and walk us through it. John and James were able to visualize my (our) space and also provide me (us) 3D images to show me what would work and what wouldnt. With their guidance (and patience), the end result cannot even be described as my vision because it surpassed even my wildest dreams! (and the husbands too even though he doesnt cook but has opinions) I wish we had taken before photos so you can SEE how truly amazing this turned out. So, just think late 90s builder basic, off white, formica and cheap. And then look at the AFTER. (Excuse the tools on the countertop, Im currently prepping for trim) Go ahead, take a peek. I am incredibly happy with Extraordinary Kitchens. James was so nice when he came out to give us an estimate. When I was on the fence about the cabinet style and color he invited me to the showroom so that I could see other options. He even gave me 3 quotes, one with more inexpensive cabinets, one with the most expensive, and one in-between. John was super nice and helpful with the final design when he came out to do the measurements. They refaced my kitchen cabinets and added a new island, a new over the washer cabinet in the laundry room and a new floor to ceiling cabinet also in the laundry. What is cool about the floor to ceiling cabinet is that the top part of it incorporates my laundry shoot. The guys who do the work are amazing. They take their time but are not annoyingly slow. They are meticulous and their trim work is just out of this world. They also kept the work site incredibly clean. There were a few ordering snaffus but I think that kind of goes with home projects and they were resolved quickly and effortlessly. I cant recommend Extraordinary Kitchens enough. If I were lucky enough to have another kitchen Id have them remodel that one as well!!!

Extraordinary Kitchens remodeled the cabinets in our kitchen ( a few years ago) and all three of our bathrooms (just recently). John also worked with us to install new granite counter tops and sinks. We are extremely pleased with both renovations both in terms of craftsmanship and price. John and his crew are extremely pleasant, always on time, and clean up after every day of work. It was nice to not have a construction mess around the house after each day of the work. Both times when I saw the completed renovation work, all I could say was "wow"! I would highly recommend John and Extraordinary Kitchens for quality and well priced updates for your kitchen or bath. He will work with you to create an update that meets your design needs at a very reasonable price.
