I called ahead three times to make sure that my room would be available for late check in (after midnight). I was delayed, and ended up not arriving until after 2 a.m. The lobby was filled with what appeared to be intoxicated party goers from the hotel bar. Someone was giving the front desk a hard time which delayed my check in even further. Once I checked in, I went to the shop to purchase toothpaste. They did not have any available for sale, but the front desk attendant had some complimentary packs available. I got to my room which I felt was too warm. I turned the A.C. down to 65 (the lowest available setting), but the room never cooled to my satisfaction. It was 3 oclock by the time I finally got in the bed, and I was exhausted. But when I woke up, the bedding didnt look clean at all. The bathroom was also dusty, and in need of new fixtures. The bathroom door was dirty or appeared to have makeup smeared on it. Two of the hangers in my closet were broken, but useable. There were a satisfactory amount of toiletries available, as well as a satisfactory amount of outlets. When I called to request a late check out, the person who answered the phone said that I could check out at one, rather than noon, but that my key would still be deactivated at noon. I ended up getting a new key from Daniel at the front desk, who was probably the most helpful person I encountered during my stay. One gentleman offered to help me with my bag when I was leaving. I believe that he was part of the housekeeping staff. Everyone I encountered seemed friendly and upbeat, just not necessarily helpful. The only one who wasnt friendly or upbeat was the gentleman who checked me in on Saturday night/ Sunday morning. I would like to thank Jessie for being so helpful the third time I called. I stayed here while in Pontiac for a wedding. I probably would not return to this location if I had to pay full price.

This hotel was recommended to me by my wedding venue. It sounded great on paper, there would be a shuttle to and from the venue and the rooms were pretty cheap for the wedding block. However, once it came to the day of the wedding, the hotel was not prepared. We arrived the night before and saw just how overbooked they really were (There were 5 wedding tables set up behind the front desk and multiple soccer teams staying at the hotel) but hoped that since we set up our block a year in advance we would be okay. Side note: We had already turned away guests from booking with the hotel because they had told us there were no more rooms left in the block. Due to the hotel overbooking themselves guests rooms were not ready until 4pm when check in was supposed to be 3pm, this then caused the shuttle to have to run late and then my ceremony started late. Then I had found out that the hotel had not handed out the guest bags that I had made the next morning when they handed me back more than 10 of my 30 bags. I had guests comment that they had asked for the bags (which were clearly visible from the check in desk) and were told by staff that there werent any. On top of that the Hotel was calling part of my wedding party during the reception to inform them that they no longer had a room and would be placed at a hotel across the street. This was less than acceptable. It was one after the person who we were working with at my venue called and complained that they magically came up with a room in the hotel. I would absolutely never recommend this hotel for any event that is important to you. They are unreliable and their customer service is awful. If I could give them less than 1 star I truly would.

I reported to hotel management about by stay that I had ringworm outbreak. Before I placed fault on your hotel I spoke with a medical professional , weighted out possible situations that could have caused this occurrence and all fingers pointed at the location. Not only did I have ring worms I also had E.Coli. Upon checking into my room, I took a brief nap cause due to exhaustion from all day travel. I noticed immediately the room has singe of moldy smell, the sheets were dingy, and had scent of smoke. After taking my brief nap I went to the hotel desk clerk and requested clean sheets and new towels. Cause the towels look very dingy. The front desk clerk informed me that the housekeeper probably left for the day but she will try, offer me bonus credits and apologized. Upon my return my be was made, the toilet seat was left up. I disregard the minor things (end tables not wiped off, carpet coming up ,stains on comforter) and went sleep cause due to my busy day and early morning agenda. A week later is when I notice lost of hair and not feeling very well. After my urgent care visit I contacted the hotel spoke with management, She took my compliant and told me someone would contact me. No apology so of concern, nothing. I was later contacted by liberty mutual the hotel agree dto pay my medical bills. Well I have great health benefits so that total to $40. My stay cost way more and my health has not price on it . This is not only unacceptable but I am still waiting to hear back from management.

Attended a conference here recently. Building amenities are pretty standard - small but nice pool, fitness center, bar, and a decent restaurant. The hotel room was well taken care of and clean. Conference rooms are well laid out, clean, and well maintained. There are several much larger rooms that can be separated into smaller ones as needed. The separator walls do only a decent job of suppressing noise from other adjacent rooms. Parking was tight. Granted, the hotel was booked 100% full for the conference, but it would have been nice to have another overflow parking area. What really set this hotel apart was the service - the event staff did a great job flipping room layouts quickly, answering questions, and resolving lighting and environment problems. The hotel and restaurant staff also did a great job - all problems encountered were resolved quickly. The entire staff seemed happy to have our group there for the weekend.

After driving five hours to be there, I arrived at 11:15 pm to find they re-booked my room, and sent me 6 miles away to the Concord Inn. What ticked me off the most was that they gave me a pre-printed form that basically said "were sorry that we booked out your room..." This means it happens so regularly that they need to have, on-hand and ready to go, pre-printed apology forms just in case. I was not an individual booking - I was a part of a corporate booking of approximately 15 rooms, and one other person in our group got the same message. I didnt realize that the Marriott was so hard-up for money that they over-booked rooms in fear of having a couple unused per night. To over-book once or twice is one thing. To make it a regular policy every day is pretty inexcusable. Other than that, theyre just great.
