I cannot say enough about just how amazing Chris, Sandy, Kim & the rest of the team here m are! My Mother passed very suddenly & due to being laid to rest in the UP we had to move forward with the process a bit quickly since once the ground frosts, wed have waited until the spring to interre her. The compassion, honor & dignity and the respect they gave not only my Mom, but myself and my family as well was just beyond phenomenal. We did some anatomical donations & Chris was concerned about how her arms would look & personally called to ensure that my Mom would look as beautiful as possible. Chris then drove well over 20+ hours to see my Mother interred in the Upper Peninsula, stayed through both of the services & checked in to ensure my husband and myself made it home safely. Words nor a 5 Star Google review cannot encompass the deepest, most profound gratitude of our family for everything Janowiak did to ensure that the entire process was handled in the most quick, efficient way possible & was fundamental to making sure that my Moms wishes were honored to have a traditional Lutheran service & was safely taken home to the UP to be laid to rest with her family surrounding her.

Janowiak Funeral Home gave our family a wonderful gift in the services they provided us in Ron Griffin, our husband, father, grandfather and friends visitation and funeral support. There were two impressive parts of their service: 1. There was no salesman pressure, only hearing what we wanted and trying to provide that for that want. 2. Support in providing an atmosphere of friendly environment for the visitation and guiding us through the nuances of the funeral. The funeral/going home service happens only once and most folks are novices, so their help was invaluable. Ron and I preplanned for the funeral and that preplanning was also as described above. The reason we chose Janowiak was the wonderful support they had given us when my Mom died. I have and would recommend Janowiak to my friends and family. THANK YOU CHRIS JANOWIAK AND STAFF. Chris and Sandy were wonderful at a very tough time in my life when my elderly mother died. They did not try to oversell us on products, and took care of every detail. Chris even stayed at the cemetery until everything was completely finished up. He arranged everything with our local church; set up all appointments with the priest, and made things run smoothly when no one could think straight. The deceased looked really nice, better than we expected she would look after a short illness. He followed all our instructions regarding jewelry, photos, clothes, and make up. Chris and Sandy even stayed in touch afterwards during the holidays to be sure we were still doing OK. Thoughtful, sincere, and honest people.

My husband and I worked with Chris Janowiak to develop prepaid plans for our funerals. He was extremely helpful, and easy to work with! He answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly and always checked to make sure we completely understood the answers and the implications of our choices. He was always professional, but also helped us feel relaxed. He took all the time we needed and we felt free to bring up any question or concern we had. If he didnt know the answer to a detailed question he would research it right away to make sure we had accurate information. Chris made the whole process much easier than we thought it would be! They did not rush us once it was closing time, and they handled so much important documentation. If you have a loved one that has passed I would highly suggest this funeral home, they care about their job and they are SO respectful ! If you have any questions they are so nice about answering, and they will explain anything that you dont understand.

They took care of my mother and did an amazing job. The owner and staff made me feel that they were not just business people but rather considerate friends/family. They never attempted to sell me the more expensive products/services which they can probably make more profit from. They gave detail instruction for how to transfer the cremation abroad. Very friendly, caring and professional. They definitely know what they are doing. Definitely recommend.

The family who owns this funeral home really cares about their clients and their community. After the unfortunate passing of a relative recently, I accompanied our son in law to make arrangements here.
