Had the WORST experience at this barbershop! Not only did the hair cut look like a dog chewed my boyfriends hair and is irreparable (he needs a hat at this point! I couldve done a better job with a youtube tutorial an my teeth!). But I was not even able to get a refund. Instead I had to call three days in a row, leave a message to the so called Barber. Three days later I get my phone call returned by the "barber" Cheli, who yelled at me pretending she never knew him, or cut his hair, wow great response Cheli ! Worst experience ever! Avoid this place at all cost!! For the same price, you can go to a variety of other shops where barbers know what they are doing. LynLake, a note on customer care: if you mess up someones hair beyond repair, have the decency to APOLOGIZE, acknowledge your mistake and return the money! Yelling at someone and questioning if they ever showed up to your shop is despicable.

Today was my first time at Lyn-Lake Barber Shop and I was very disappointed. Their website says walk-ins are welcome and this is why I chose the shop. During the cut my stylist Gabriel was hostile towards me when I explained my preference to walk-in verse making an appointment. He suggested I go to Great Clips in the future. At one point I told Gabriel to stop ‘lecturing me’ as I am not five years old and I understand he wants customers to make appointments. The cut was good and the price fair but the experience overall terrible. I did not feel welcome at all, which is unfortunate for me as I live a few blocks away and the shop would be convenient.

Lyn-lake Barbershop. It is a little hole in the wall. I discovered it because I lived half a block away and walked past it all the time. I decided to check it out and found out immediately that is was awesome. It is awesome in the way uptown used to be. Just go there and you will see what I mean. Jayson has been my barber now for the last 5 years. VERY HAPPY to have the hair cutting portion of my life figured out for the foreseeable future! By the way, Jason gets all the hype because he has this big personality and he is the first chair when you walk in the door, but the other two guys there are solid as well!

Im so glad I went and saw Gabe. My friend always gets complimented on his haircuts so I asked him where he went, he recommended Gabe. I went to see Gabe and he totally put me at ease. I didnt know what I wanted and I let him work his magic since. It is such an amazing deal for how much care and effort he puts into my hair. I will never go anywhere else and have recommended it to every guy I know! Give him a try, bring cash, be prepared for the compliments to come rolling in.

The last time I got a real shave I was left with a small scar, so you best BELIEVE I was nervous to try it again. I spent a full day researching online. Each time, Lyn-Lake was ranked within the top 3 for barbers, and at a fraction of the cost. As such, I decided to give it a try. Gabe delivered. 100%. Great haircut and a better shave. It was one of those perfect moments when a consumer was blown away by the service. This is that spot. Ill be coming back.

Ive tried a lot of barbershops and haircut places in the Uptown area. Lyn-Lake Barbershop has three things that push them over the top: 1) theyre reliable—no surprise wait times when youve made an appointment; 2) theyre friendly—they provide lighthearted and engaging conversation, and theyll remember you; 3) they are competitively priced. No matter whos behind the scissors, I always get a nice, stylish cut that behaves for weeks.

Great cut by Gabe. He took his time and made sure all lines were precise. Old school barber vibe with an uptown feel. I wasnt a fan of the tiny dog walking around which I assume is always going to be around because I think it belonged to the female employee. It would bark and I would jump every time. Luckily Gabe wasnt mid razor cut when I would jump. I will be back for sure. Gabe gives a great cut for a great price.

Thats right, google. I HATED lynlake barbershop. Specifically, Cheli. She has zero skills with clippers. She literally does not even know how to hold them, forget work them on anyones hair. My haircut is the most uneven and misshapen thing thats ever been on my head. And to top it all, shes rude AF. PLEASE do yourself a favor and never get your hair cut by Cheli, especially if you have short hair. EVER.

I just started coming here when I moved to the area and Jayson is the best! I am a butch lesbian so I always have problems going to barbershops and dealing with weird comments about women, assumptions that I am a little boy, etc. but this place is nothing like that! I love chatting with him and hes just the best, not to mention I get an amazing haircut every time I go in.

Jayson and Cheli are both great--skilled, friendly, they help you get the look you want at a really unbelievable price. I tried it after being frustrated driving a half hour each way to pay $35 for a great haircut. Now I go to a place nearby, pay far less, and get the same excellent cut without the hassle and the salon hype. Try it!

Moved to Minneapolis last month and found this place on Google. Thought Id give it a shot. Gabe was awesome. You cant beat the pricing at $15 (cash) + tip and the staff is really friendly. The shop has an old barber shop feel, which is great. My only complaint is that there wasnt much parking, but thats not a huge deal.

Been back in the Twin Towns for about a year and Ive struggled to find a decent haircut without killing my pocketbook....Got an unbelievable scissor cut from Jayson. You can tell he has years of experience. He is absolutely precise and meticulous about his cuts and for $15 bucks.. Im going back indeed!

This place is awesome. Easy to walk in and be in the chair within 5 minutes, great cut, unbelievable price, and the staff are positively delightful. Cheli gave me her cell phone number so I could give her a heads up if I was in the area and needed a touch up. All-around A+ experience.

This is a good barbershop. They used to have some barbers in the back that were a bit full of themselves and sometimes turned the discussion to topics that made me uncomfortable, but those guys are long gone.

Worst haircut Ive had in over a decade...maybe they should put some light in the back room where they cut and try not hiring a part time psychic to butcher hair. Will not be going back ever.

$18 for a mens haircut, and a great one at that. I think this is the best price/service combination you can ask for in the city - Jayson is great!
