This was lesson that I will never forget. I had hired these guys to do some custom cabinets in my 100+ year old house in St. Paul and I have worked hard to make it like new again. Over the past three years I have had some new walls, floors and lots of exterior repairs done to bring back its luster. For some reason the owner has a tuff time picking up his own phone and doesnt even have a voicemail (2010)??? I will say that the quality of the actual product is good but the labor workers absolutely trashed my house. Gouges in my hardwood floors, scratched my $3k ovens, broke the crown trim and didnt even have the intelligence to put back my cookie jar after they helped themselves. I called the owner after I realized the destruction and he completely ignored messages left with his secretary for a week plus there was not a thanks for the business nor any follow-up. This guy should not be in business because he has no clue about caring for his clientele. In the end of it all Dans employee Mark (who he has do his dirty work) gave no apologies and stated that this is just part of having installation done for remodeling. Beware!

C by D is by far the best cabinet builder team we have ever worked with. They are very thorough with the design process and accurate with their drawings. The final product is always perfect and the install crew stayed as late as possible to wrap up the job and go the extra mile to deserve the cookies and soda. We used C by D for our entertainment cabinetry and also hired them again to install cabinetry and lockers in our laundry room. The prices were reasonable and their product is excellent. Dont expect them to specialize in voicemail, cookies or email; they specialize in excellent cabinet craftmanship and they do a great job. We did not have any issues with communicating with them during the build process and they were quick to answer questions. We recommend C by D for anyone that is seeking excellent craftmanship for a good price. They will exceed your expectations.

Our cabinets were installed yesterday (6/26/17) by Cabinets By Dan. Unfortunately they are not as we agreed upon. There was a phone call this morning to figure out a solution but Dan himself acted in a very unprofessional manner. I asked to meet this afternoon to hopefully let emotions cool, and hopefully we can find a solution. I will update the review if we can find a solution, but as of now I highly recommend to NOT use Cabinets By Dan. I live in Savage and up to this point everything had been going well. They are a part of the Better Business Bureau, and I will file a formal complaint with them too if it’s not resolved. So you may want to check there too before using Cabinets By Dan

Cabinets by Dan has been terrific. Ordering cabinets can be stressful so Im glad that Mark, Dan, Terry and everyone with whom I meet, whether at my house or at their beautiful showroom in Savage, MN has been pleasant and encouraging. Cabinets by Dan has completed several cabinet projects for me in 2010 and 2011 and I look forward to working with Dan and his team again for my kitchen remodeling project. One small example of the attention to detail at Cabinets by Dan: They order, at least, one EXTRA handle or hinge (even on small projects), JUST IN CASE... I love this company.

Cabinets by Dan completed a remodel for us, which included new custom kitchen cabinets and counter. Throughout the planning and renovation, C by D offered excellent ideas, detailed drawings, and practical suggestions for optimizing space in the kitchen, with wide selections to choose from. The cabinets have great workmanship; we love the granite countertop, and are extremely pleased with the outcome. We found the team at C by D to be knowledgeable, helpful in selections, and easy to reach if we had questions. We would highly recommend Cabinets by Dan.

Cabinets by Dan did custom cabinets in my entire home. They did our kitchen, office, theater room, bathroom vanities, laundry room, bar and entertainment center. I love them! Everything is so beautiful and we get compliments on them all the time. Dan is a great designer and makes excellent suggestions that we would never have thought of on our own. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again and would be happy to show off their work to any potential customer.
