After a really great haircut here with Katrina, I went back. Katrina wasnt available, but I managed to get in with Andrea. I agree with akmn - the back massage, while nice, seems forced, and honestly, doesnt add to the experience. My problem, however, lies with my haircut. Ive had the same haircut for years, and with the exception of 1 out of the country haircut, Ive never had any real issues - until yesterday. My sides , which I asked for about a number 1.5 are uneven ("I dont like using the clipper guards") and me asking for just a little off the top to clean it up, was apparently understood as almost shaved. I would hesitate to go back to this place after my experience - the quality of the stylists work varies wildly and will definitely affect your experience.

I had an excellent haircut at Raze. Im new to SLP and I saw Raze while driving through West End, and am very glad I made an appointment. The place was beautiful - you get your haircut in a huge leather seat surrounded with TVs, and the chair reclines so you can get your hair washed right there. The whole process took about 45 minutes (which was great, definitely got my moneys worth) and went like this: complimentary drink, short back/neck/scalp massage, shampoo, hot towel on face, actual haircut, second shampoo, dry, style. I have a simple hairstyle, but I take haircuts seriously because I get them infrequently. Raze was great, and at $30.00 I feel like my money was extremely well-spent.

Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience! I was so excited to hear about their concept and was eager to try it out, I agree the place looks good, its comfortable but the attitude of the stylist was lifeless, I felt like she was being forced to give me a neck message, to be honest, I could care less about the whole message deal, the face towel, etc.. all I wanted was a decent, styled haircut and unfortunately, it was anything but, Im not picky at all but if Im paying almost $40, I expect some level of service and professionalism, I will never go there again, will try Jon English spa next time for that kind of money.

After going to the same place for about 4 years, I thought I would use a coupon that I had for Raze. My first appointment was with Andrea, who was very nice and made the whole experience enjoyable. Like most guys, I prefer not to spend to much time or money on my hair, so spending $30 was a little more than I was used to. However, it is a great value because of the atmosphere, service and personal attention you receive here. I have been back to see Andrea ever since. They have changed the name to "Roosters". Personally I like Raze better.

I never leave reviews, but when a business captures my consistent business, and a specific employee stands-out, I am more than happy to let them know. Darcy is very nice, makes the experience pleasant, listens to my needs and asks the right questions. The staff is always friendly and no one keep’s you waiting, as if you were just "the next in line". I love the scalp massage, hot towel, TVs, comfy chairs, etc. Thank you Darcy for making me feel like I am your "only customer", and for the right haircut, every time.

Ive been getting my hair cut here by Darcy for the past few months and I have been nothing but happy with my hair every single time. The environment is great and you can tell she takes pride in her work. Its not the cheapest place, but my hair looks impeccable every time I leave.

Fantastic. I get my haircut with Katie every time. She is a terrific stylist. I like that she doesnt have to use an electric clippers to blend my hair. I always leave feeling great. If you know what you want and can describe it to someone Katie will get you out looking good.

Reasonable pricing comparable to similar local salons. The hot towel and massage is a nice touch. Haircuts are usually good, although it does vary by stylist. Ive had a couple not-so-good experiences with the cut, but always friendly.

Fantastic place: parking was easy, atmosphere was chill, service was fantastic, all around great vibe. I took my 15 year old to see Laney and she did an AMAZING job. This is by far the BEST haircut he has EVER had. We will be back.
