This place is as great as it gets for us gents! True, theyre not an actual licensed barbershop, but anyone that can read will notice that it says "Barbershop A Hair SALON for Men". The only difference is the type of license(Cosmetology vs Barbering) in which theyre still certified to cut and color everyones hair, they just cant use straight blades. As far as the service goes, it is OUTSTANDING. I have a younger more attractive stylist that I see quite frequently that goes by the name of Zaydee, and shes one of the few that will sit there and ask all the necessary questions, making sure that you leave satisfied with your haircut experience. When seated, you go through a brief consultation where you both come to an understanding of what youre looking for in the haircut. I like Zaydee because from the get go, she was very honest about what could and could not be done with my hair(texture, length, and cowlicks all taken into consideration) and talked to me about how to make my style more manageable. After doing the basic haircut, she gave me a great shampoo and head massage(which definitely varies stylist to stylist) all while relaxing under a hot towel. When that was done, she went through and double checked the haircut while detailing, asked to trim my mustache and eyebrows(complimentary) then ended things with a 30 second shoulder rub with a cool looking massager. The haircut prices did go up to $14 cash and $14.50 with a credit card, but I still believe its a steal. Theyve blown up since theyve opened, so I do recommend scheduling an appointment. And do consider their time and try to make it to your appointment no more than 3 minutes late(its a 20 minute service). Otherwise they will bump you back in accordance to their book times which to me makes sense. Theyre strictly commission based so if youre late, I think its fair that they take someone in your place so theyre not missing out on their earnings. Also, dont forget to tip your stylist! Two thumbs up, I will never go anywhere else!

It was my day off yesterday, I shoveled, changed the oil pan gasket on my Honda, shoveled, fixed the break lights on my Dakota, shoveled and then got a haircut. Being thrifty I was looking for the cheapest haircut in town, but I had no idea that I was also getting the best cut in town too. I went in and before I was done writing my name on the list I was greeted by the beautiful Jessica and was seated right away. Two things I noticed right away was that there was a personal TV in the booth and a sign that explained "The Gentlemans Treatment". You get a haircut, shampoo, condition, hot towel, beard trim, neck trim between cuts AND a shoulder message!!! Turns out that getting a haircut by Jessica at the Barbershop was the perfect way to unwind from my day. I look forward to returning and perhaps I can justify going every week or so with the free neck trim between cuts! P.S. You can make an appointments with your favorite stylist so you always get who you like, so ignore the above comment to the contrary.

This is generally a great place to go for a haircut. Today though, I had the WORST haircut in my life. I gave her a picture, and told her EXACTLY what I wanted. So she did it and I was happy with it. Then, she started to blend. That was when things went way downhill. She took off about 3 quarters of my hair and it looks terrible. It is going to be Christmas soon, and I am going to look terrible in all of my family photos. People need to follow instructions. Also, if youre looking for someone there who actually is very skilled and kind, I recommend Elizabeth (I think she also goes by Liz.) She is the only one I will be going to from now on when I go there, but I highly recommend Stag Barbershop in Milwaukee, its a bit of a drive, but its definitely worth it.

Barbershop for men! Awesome haircut, amazing price. I will never go anywhere else. Haircut was only 11 bucks. All attractive women working. Very experienced staff. Those few bad reviews below are a few jerk offs who dont know a good haircut when they see one. Came with a haircut, back massage, hot towel, shampoo, condition, and a neck trim. All for 11 bucks. And on top of that, she took her time to make sure it was done right. Ive never been more pleased, even after paying 30 bucks at some higher class barbers. 2 thumbs up, and thank you staff for making it such a great experience.

You get what you pay for. My haircut was not very good and the stylist was not very accommodating. I went based on a recommendation from my brother-in-law, but I will not be back. It is basically cost-cutters with some extra amenities (peanuts, back massage, etc). The amenities would be a nice touch if the quality of the cut was up. As it is, I dont want to pay for a bad haircut just because I get to watch sports and eat peanuts. Go to an actual barber shop for quality mens cut, otherwise this is a fine place if you normally go to cost-cutters, fantastic sams, or great clips.

Its not a Barbershop! Its a Salon. No one in the shop knew how to cut a flat top. The title is completely misleading and I was terribly disappointed. When I go to a barbershop I want to be at a place that is actually licensed as a BARBERSHOP!!! If you imagine yourself to be a person like Todd and Margeaux from Christmas Vacation (Remember the yuppie neighbors of Clark Griswold?) then youll fit right in at the Barbershop. If you are a person who is looking for a REAL barbershop...well...keep looking because THIS place is NOT it!!!

Awesome experience! Im the guy who wants just 1 person to cut my hair over and over again. I kept going to cost cutters, and Great Clips, but the good stylists would end up leaving after a few months. Or I would go in to these places and get a random person, who would totally botch my hair cut. Then I found The Barbershop! Ive recommended this place to several people, even been to a few different locations when my stylist has the day off, and I have no complaints! Fully satisfied with their work! I love it!

I can tell that this place is not a bad place to get a haircut but today I took my son, hes 2, to get a haircut. She did not greet my son and I in a happy friendly manner. she proceeded to just turn the TV on, and had no personality. I also understand that this place probably gets more adult men then small two year old s. But when you work with people you should have people skills for any age. I didnt even care at this point that my son was freaking out. Rant over. Never again. Bad experience.

This is a really good value in hair cuts! Do you people ever go to "great clips"? This place is so much better and 25% less. Lets be frank: You get a hair cut, eye brow/ear/neck trim, a WASH, and a neck massage. AND you get to watch sports center the whole time. All for about 11 bucks! You cant beat it. They just do mens hair so it is easy to get a good cut. And to the point above "you dont want a man to cut your hair...." ask for one of the ladies, they let you request any stylist you want.
