Summit Auto Care is not only one of the best auto shops Ive dealt with, its one of the best businesses Ive ever dealt with. Owner Will Campbell is honest, fair, and a first-rate mechanic to boot. Ive been to Summit on several occasions and Ive been impressed (not just happy) every time. For example, the first time I went to Summit (after a VERY poor experience with Youngstedts of Waconia), Will was not only friendly and honest, but also recommended other good shops in the area in case he was unavailable for whatever reason. To me, that speaks volumes about him personally and the way he runs his business. Another example happened just today. I brought in my car for some work and not only did he remember me, but he remembered my girlfriend and her car that she had brought in 6 months prior without me present. This was also the only time he had ever met her and I have only been in the shop three times. All-in-all, Id have to say that Will and Summit Auto have exceeded my expectations in every category. They do excellent work, wont try to up-sell parts or service you dont need, and charge a very fair shop rate.

Although staff and service is nice, workmanship and attention to details are not. Many of the below reviews refference "Will" the owner of the shop. Again, a very nice person. However here are some facts about the experience I had with this company: 1. Was not able to fix the cars orginal problem and sent it into another dealer to fix. 2. Two miles down the road after receiving the car back after weeks of having it, the transmission failed. 3. Came to find out that "Will" was the orginal owner of the car (which was ourchased from a seperate dealer btw.) Seems odd that right after the vehicle was sold the transmission went out within two weeks....with the orginal owner owning a car shop. 4. Came to find out that 3 months later, struts that he installed were not OEM, were starting to rip, and could have caused a serious accident. Your experience may vary, but I am telling you there is more than meets the eye with this so called trusted shop. I would advise to avoid this shop at all costs!

I have done business with many shops in the past...after 15 years in business I have found only 2 shops in the Minneapolis St Paul area I would trust. Summit Auto Care is honest and give you the options to make a educated decision with regards to your auto repair needs.. Will operates his business with a high degree of integrity. I would trust him with any of my families vehicles to diagnose and repair as needed. Thanks Will!

I have a 2006 Audi A6 4.2 and Will has done a couple of items on it for me. His work is thorough and he is knowledgeable about the car. Its hard to find someone who can good work on Audis and do it at a reasonable price, but Will does a great job and I certainly recommend him. I know Ill continue to use him. Plus I enjoy his dogs.

Nice guy, but he overcharges by 2-3x as much. He always has this crazy justification for his excess labor. I think he just has to compensate for his business being secluded. I suggest you google what something would cost and compare after you get his bill. Want a nice mechanic, go for it. But you want value, go elsewhere.

Will has always done a great job educating me on the best solution. He has a high degree of integrity and would recommend him above anyone. Have had issues with other shops in town (Youngsteadts) and was happy to connect with Summit to take care of my autos!

I have gone to summit for years because honest mechanics are a hard thing to find. Will is a master of his craft and has the lowest shop rate within at least 200 square miles. The staff are friendly and the work is prompt. It would be damm hard to find better.
