DO NOT work with him. We had John Kivel work on the electric throughout our house-new construction in basement, renovaiton on first floor, and just adding a couple of lights to our existing hallways. This was in 2005. Not long after we noticed that outlets were lose, the hallway light completely stopped working, we get shocks when we turn on two of the switches in the basement. I would NOT recommend John. He did a shotty job on our house and now we will have to have all his work redone.

I needed a last minute exterior outlet installed before I could close on my house. John rearranged his schedule to fit me in last minute. Four other electricians were either unwilling or unable to accommodate me. The work looks solid. He was very personable. I would use him again.

Told john about what I needed done. He told me to email him and hell set up a time and schedule for him to come to fix my electrical problem. Its been about a week and still no emails or phone calls. Ill just keep looking.
