Where do I start he tried to tell my stepdad that I wanted my entire house wired with Cat-5 (LIE) and then charged me an additional $6K that was not in the bid. I dont even know what Cat-5 is so why would I request it? Then after he claimed to have completed the project I realized my infloor heat was not working nor did it ever work and he refused to come back just to take a look at it and lied in court saying he tried to fix it. He roughed in my brothers kitchen remodel and installed a single new outlet in the family room at that same time, the rough in was paid for in full and there was not one mention of any additional charges for the family room outlet. When he returned 3 months later to finish the job he charged another $380 for the same outlet. The moment he saw where my step dad lived his prices went up 50%!! This is not in retaliation for any business my step dad has conducted with this man, this is in direct correlation to the work he has done for me and my brother both jobs of which he rip us off in extreme fashion. He is a scammer. Run away from this loser! I need to respond to the complete lies that are listed below. My step dad has been in business for over 18 years building million dollar homes in St. Louis Park and Edina and has never ran into a crook such as John. Anytime John needed a check he got one. First of all not one of these cases was won in court so that is a COMPLETE and utter fabrication. The job that is over a year passed due is from a customer who contracted my step to do work in the amount of $700K and she has not paid almost 50% of the work completed (lawsuit), she is the crook not my step dad. Every customer has the right to pay subcontractors directly and every sub contractor has the right to lien the customers property for non-payment, all options John had the right to exercise but he chose not to. He may have not gotten paid for that job but guess what neither did my step dad!! In regards to my brothers so called $160 outlet, I have the invoice in front of me and it has a price tag of $380, at NO TIME WHATSOEVER was it ever requested to be on a separate circuit and guess what? That outlet IS NOT on its own circuit, I can go into my brothers basement and flip the breaker for the old existing outlets in the family room and guess which one is also tied to that breaker??? Bingo the same outlet!! AND YOU ABSOLUTELY WERE PAID FOR THIS OUTLET so you are completely lying, I have a copy of the cashed checks to prove it so stop with your BS sob story. No one ever tried to rip you off, in fact it was the complete opposite. So John at the end of my project when you handed my step dad a $6K bill that was above and beyond the bid, did you or did you not tell him that I specifically requested the house be wired with CAT 5?? And now you are saying my step dad requested it?? Which is it John, make up your mind. Also, the in floor heat has never worked in my home and still does not to this day. Do you not warranty your work John?? And the pending case he is talking about where my step dad supposedly owes him $7K, guess what the customer opted to pay you direct buddy per his legal rights, that money has never been paid to my step dad and is to be paid by the customer. The customer in this case is a crook and withholding $30K from my step dad and $7K from John all for work that was IN THE CONTRACT and completed. One of the states largest contractors was ordered by the court to review the work that was completed and he stated it was one of the nicest remodels he had ever seen and tried to hire my step dad on the spot. Good luck getting paid by this guy John cause all of the money you think my step dad owes you is actually owed to you by the customer who is withholding. The customer received all of his money from the insurance company so he is blatantly trying to rip us off and you will get screwed in the end but thatll be your problem when the dust settles, Good Luck!

We hired Jon to rewire our kitchen during our remodel project. We found him highly rated on Angies List with very good reviews. We had called a couple of other electrial contractors but the big difference was, when we called Super Electric to come to give us a bid, Jon came out promptly and was right on time. Everybody else seemed bothered that we called. Jons bid seemed fair and reasonable and we decided not to pursue any other bids. When that agreed date & time for Super Electric to start, I looked out the window early and Jon & Steve were out on the street waiting for that start time. They removed the old wiring, roughed in the new wiring and cleaned up the area, probably cleaner than it was when they started. What really impressed me was that the electrical inspector was very fimiliar with Super Electrics work and stated that Jon was one of the last true craftsman of his profession. Jon and Steve just finished up installing the new light fixtures (ceiling & under cabinet), outlets and switches. Jon showed up a little early so he could show the different colors of wall plates & outlets to choose from to best match up to the tiled backsplash, which was really nice that he had those options available. When they were finished, they again cleaned up after themselves better than it was. If we ever have the need for an electrician again, I will be calling Super Electric. I highly recommend them!

We hired Super Electric to complete an Electrical Panel replacement, rewire a bathroom, install a new outlet, replace 3 light fixtures, & hardwire 3 smoke/CO2 detectors. I called Jon for an estimate & he was out to my home the very next day. He evaluated the work to be completed and gave an estimate on the spot. I accepted the agreement the next day and the work was scheduled to be complete within a couple weeks. Jon & Steve arrive exactly when they said they would. They completed the work in 2 days. The quality of work was top notch. The home was kept clean with drop cloths & cleaned up very well after each project. During the work, we had an additional light fixture replace and they ended up completing more work then planned in the bathroom. Jon could have charged more for this but didnt, he stuck to his original quote. Upon final inspection, the city inspector had nothing but positive comments about Super Electric & told us right away that we hired a good contractor. We highly recommend Super Electric and will use them again for future electrical work. We have hired a variety of contractors to complete different projects in our home & can honestly say our experience with Super Electric was one of the best.

We hired Super Electric to convert our old fuse box to circuit breakers and to do some various other electrical work in our house. I contacted three highly rated electricians for bids, and of these Super Electric had the best price. I am very happy with the work they did and very glad I hired them. The owner, Jon, was polite, professional, and clearly very experienced. The work was done exactly as described, fuses/switches place exactly where I wanted, etc. The new circuit panel is very neatly and cleanly labeled, which is so nice after living with our 100 year old fuse box with a mess of poorly labeled circuits. In addition to the circuit panel, they installed a 3-way switch for our kitchen light, repaired a stairway 3-way switch which wasnt functioning, installed a programmable switch for our porch light, and installed a couple other new circuits and outlets. Everything was well done. They even deducted $75 from my final bill because one of the work items took less time than they originally estimated. I really appreciated that honesty and fairness! Overall I am 100% satisfied with the experience and will definitely be contacting Super Electric the next time I am in need of electrical work.
