This is by far one of the worst daycares I have ever witnessed in my experiences with daycares. The head director is under qualified and does not oversee the daycares at all. I found a dead mouse in my childs cubby bin that was decaying and when brought to her attention she shrugged it off and said throw it away. That is horrific! The employees do not pay attention to the children and on several occassions I found the employees on their phones or talking among each other and not supervising the children. On the play ground, one child had fallen off a bike and was crying out loud and the employees ignored it because they were having a conversation. Needless to say, my child does not attend this daycare any longer. The management of this daycare is very poor and no child should be subjected to the neglect they recieve while there. My child cried everyday I would drop her off and I was concerned as to the reason why she would not want to be there, one day I unexpectedly showed up and seen how she was being treated. The employees have no training and do not think twice about screaming at the children or grabbing them by the arm when they want them to do something. I was appalled to say the least and withdrew my child asap. I would like all the mothers who are considering this daycare to think twice and weigh out everything about the daycare before sending their child there. And if your child currently attends this daycare, please keep a close eye on them, this daycare is a very unhealthy place! I feel sorry for any child that currently is enrolled in this daycare... I hope they do not recieve the treatment that many children I have witnessed do. It will not be long before this placed is shut down due to the several state complaints that have been made by several parents I have spoken with.

I couldnt agree with khalveland any more. Our two children (3 y.o./10 months) went to the Fenton First Academy since 2007. It was a great place until August, 2008. Prior to that, school bulletins were sent home, the only major issue was with the infant program. Post August, 2008, no more school bulletins, teachers leaving without any official news from adminstration, and my 10 month old was bitten not once, but twice! There are some wonderful staff members, but unfortunately there are some sour apples at the facility as well. I would defintely find somewhere else to take your children if they are under two years of age. My kids no longer go there, and my wife and I only regret that we couldnt have made the change sooner. Poor administration, and there is an overall sense of chaos. The place suffers from low staffing and/or terrible leadership from administration. Please give your children a better place than First Academy!

First let me start with the fact I was skeptical. My husband liked the value & location. We had a son born with a birth defect and had to have special feeding as well as a heart monitor. I was very nervous to leave him there. As it turned out, they fed my son better than we did! He did GREAT! We now have two boys ages 4 and 2 1/2 that have been there since birth. They absolutely love it there and score out a year ahead in their development!! We have had nothing but a positive experience and I am a high maintenance mom! I except the best! We love Jill and Amanda as well as all the teachers! My boys love them too! They are so flexible and the hours and rates are the BEST in the area! They take all your suggestions/comments to heart and they know and love every child that attends! I believe its the best package around!!

I had heard how great things were at First Academy for years; thats why we enrolled our son almost two years ago. Times have changed! Since the new director, Ms. Jill has taken over, the preschool is completely disorganized and the care for the children has suffered. We have picked our son up several times with poop in his pants and a complete mess. With the exception of one or two teachers, the staff (including the director) is unfriendly, unaware, and completely careless with the children under their care. I would strongly recommend parents find an alternative preschool where your child will be cared for in a caring way that you would expect!

My experience was great with First Academy. I had 2 children enrolled there one for a year and a half and another for about a year. The teachers do many projects and spend time teaching the children. My son was behind with his speech and I know that they helped my son because he improved so rapidly with talking and pronouncing words correctly. Thank you all again for your hard work. I would recommend this daycare to anyone.

Great rates! The most flexible daycare we have experienced. Love the director. My daughter loves going every day.
