They are an okay staff agency and they will put you to work but the lady who is the director of the company has a very nasty attitude and really doesnt care for the people she hires, example: On August 19th I was sent to work for Alphapointe, and close to the end of the day,a supervisor by the name of Mike was talking real slick to me,I paid it no mind and I returned for work that following Monday,so from that day to Thursday, the work was great,I had no problems and was looking forward to continuing working there,i show up Friday and and worked, but by 11:30ish or so,the supervisor Mike comes up to me and puts me in a situation I really can but cant speak on,its a long story, but all in all, that supervisor,a Stivers staff agent,2 other employees that work there, and the CEO of the company all were in on this I cant really call what it is,I wanna say a prank on me at this place,so after I involved in this work incident,I reported it to Stivers, now at the time they seemed concerned of what happened and they told me to call back Pam,the director of Stivers at 3p,so I did, thats when my shift was over,I told her my situation and I was told I had to go back Monday and complete the shift, but in the mix of things,I was told to get names and such,so I come back Monday,Im feeling so emotionally disturbed over what had happened,I call Stivers and tell them that Im here and wasnt allowed to the back until 3p,so as Im telling Pam this,I ask if she could get there names for me since I cant go back there, she says, just go and get there names,I then get a little pissed and say, well,I went to the EEOC and the BBB about what happened here and I feel too emotionally wrecked over what the staff here has done, she then goes exorcist and says, you didnt have to go back, why would you go back,I then say, well you told me to so we can end my last shift here on a professional note, she then goes,I didnt say that, then I said you did,so Im here, but dont wanna be here on the fact of what had happened, she then goes, well,do what you want and hangs up in my face,so the next day I call up to Alphapointe and get names,I contact Stivers and tell them I have the names, their response was,It doesnt matter no more, you no longer work there and hangs up in my face again, but in the past they have done this,so I say, they put you to work but their staff members are rude,Haden is the only staff member at Stivers that somewhat seems to care.

I needed a full-time accountant/accounts receivable & payable with experience in QB Pro. The first guy we brought in claimed to have taken all the recent continuing ed on QB, but insisted that we still needed to order him the book. He excused himself after about 6 weeks for personal/family reasons. Stivers recommended the next guy as highly qualified replacement. He came in, declared that the first guy had done everything wrong, and we started the years accounting from scratch again. About 4 weeks into it, the new guy figured out how to systematically scam the company. 6 weeks later, he had made off with about $8k in cash and company redit card fraud when he got arrested for something unrelated. Upon an anonymous tip by someone who he had boasted to about stealing, we did some checking on him: he was a registered sex offender in KS, had 5 criminal and 17 (!!!!) civil cases in Johnson Co., 3 in Missouri. Luckily he also neglected to do his job, so Stivers was owed about $7k on him. After I paid half, I thought: well, gee, they bring in an accomplished criminal, lose me 8k, and still make money on it??? So I told them to go to hell, now theyre suing! I may actually go after Stivers for my losses now.

I applied to an online job posting last week, received an email today inviting me in to "complete an application process, including skills assessments, and discuss the particulars of the positions that interest you.".... Once I had called, they informed me that the job was in fact filled, even though I had received the email an hour prior. Because of that, and with the only other review being very negative, I chose not to work any further with Stivers.

There were too many issues to begin to describe but after going through the process I was offered a job that was not in my field and not anything I would take. Really ended up being a waste of time. And dont bother talking with a manager. They have a skewed opinion of what is highly inappropriate. Very disappointed.
