I have no problem with the gym itself. Colors are inviting and they have lots of great cardio machines and amenities. The price is great too. However, I am a former National level competitive bodybuilder and I take offense to the obvious discrimination against bodybuilders! If I take off my jacket or wear shorts the staff glares at me. Bodybuilders are generally the most knowledgeable people in the world about the science of the body and nutrition! There is not ONE person at the front desk that I would ever ask nutritional information from. Planet fitness goes out of its way to employ dumpy looking over weight people. No they dont have to be bodybuilders or people that are super super fit, but if I werent motivated on my own and I didnt have the background I have the staff would not motivate me at all. Ive heard them answer questions about working out and nutrition and they always give the wrong answer! Its terrible! Im not all pro bodybuilders either.... I get that Planet fitness doesnt want the "meatheads" in there. I dont either. But its usually NOT the true bodybuilders that act like meatheads anyway. ITs usually the guys or girls who "want to be" bodybuilders that act foolish in the gym. Planet fitness stop being so hell bent on discrimination against people who are in great shape and train your staff to be knowledgeable about fitness and nutrition and employ some people that look good. I see people wondering around not knowing what to do on the machines! Ive helped a lot of people with it. Get your staff on the floor and show some people how to exercise properly so you dont wind up with a law suit! Stop focusing on your obsession with bodybuilders! You might talk to one and be surprised how much you learn!! And that "lunk alarm" on the wall is the f_____g stupidest thing I have ever seen!! Whos the idiot that came up with that!! Talk about a LUNK!!!!

Today was my first time at planet fitness. And I truly enjoyed my experience. I had Ben thinking about joining a gym but it was important to me to find a gym that has the non-jugemental atmosphere that plant fitness offered. I also opted to do the full membership for 19.99 a month and I am glad I did. I get a lot more perks like the hydro massage, and half price off on Gatorade and water. Also, I have the option to use their tanning beds. On my first visit, I found the staff to be helpful and informative. I felt the atomsphere was as advertised- a judge free atmosphere. This enoucaged me to workout and become fit. I feel the gym is very clean, even the showers. The showers were beyond my expectation-very roomy and clean. The hydro massage was excellent after a workout. I also enjoy the TVs that accomidate those using the tread mills and other machines. I spent about 3 hours there and it was worth it. I hear they serve pizza and bagels once a month, and I think that is a good reward and treat for gym members. I know others have complained on here about it, but if you dont want it, dont eat it. Unhealthy foods dont just disappear becuase a gym wont serve unhealthy foods. Unhealthy foods are a part of life, and if one can not manage their own eatting choices, it will be a problem wheather or not a gym serves unhealthy foods. Overall, I love planet fitness!

Was disappointed by the advertisements. They state to only be $10 a month, but what it doesnt say is that there is a $10 sign up fee and there is a recurring charge of $29 every month. They also wanted my credit card info even though I only wanted to pay month by month. That didnt sit well for me so I did some research. People have alleged that there are also cancellation fees? Not sure about this but why else would you need my credit card info and why should I come in to cancel if I only want to pay month to month? I wish they had advertised the full truth and it had been as simple as advertised. I am also surprised about hearing that you serve pizza and bagels. Serve veggie snacks instead. There is plenty enough of junk food outside a gym without it being necessary to serve it in a gym. Just from the rates I found out by calling, and what the people on here have said, I will find something else. Im sure you are great for some but not my cup of tea.

Ive been a member for almost 2 years. Theyve worked with me on my payments when I was pregnant and wasnt using my membership. I like it there because you see all kinds of people in their journey to get into shape so I dont feel judged at all. One thing I really dont like is that everyone seems to do their job differently. I bring my sister with me as a guest almost every time, yet some people will have her check in and some wont. On top of that I missed my payment for October, so I went up there in November 22nd to pay it and I asked the girl if I was all caught up and she said yes. Ive gone 4 times this week, and this morning the guy behind the counter stopped me after my workout and informed me I was 17 days behind on my payment and charged me a late fee even though I told him that I was informed I was completely caught up just 2 weeks ago. Seems like their staff isnt communicating very well at all

Planet Fitness maintained a lot of judgement just by policy. The staff for my gym are nice people but the rules apply such a judgmental atmosphere. The personal trainers show no signs of being in shape. They always try to persuade me to do muscular endurance reps when Im trying to raise my max weight. I feel oppressed in a place where Im supposed to feel comfortable. Planet Fitness is honestly closer to a McDonalds. They put fattening foods and drinks on display, canceling a membership is full of fees, there are no squat racks, and their best machine is a smith cage.

The staff is good people. They recently made some changes moving currents to other location. Thats why the 4. The gym is always spotless. Users wipe down equipment but staff does QA and cleans even better. Compared to S. CAMPBELL location Republic rd cud use an update to utilize space.

I go to a gym to workout, not eat pizza and bagels. This isnt even a gym, its a business that is more focused on locking people into long memberships for gain for profit rather than helping people achieve their goals. Will not be back.

Clean facility with a lot of machines. Its never very crowded and generally a comfortable place to exercise. Tanning beds have good bulbs and are always clean. Plenty of beds. Laying beds have facial tanners.

If you dont want results then you need this gym. They took away all heavy equipment that is needed to make gains and they cater to wimpy failures. The lunk alarm what the hell? Are we in elementary school?
