I have been seeing Brad since he was in a one room salon in Blair. 2008. Its been amazing to see his journey. Brad is committed to giving people hair they love, and to helping people feel the best they can about themselves. Because of this, he is constantly evaluating everything about the salon, from the products used to the services provided. Brad is also amazing with difficult hair. I have coarse and extremely thick, wavy hair. Brad has taken the time to work with my hair, and once when I decided to cut my hair extremely short, he put himself behind on his schedule just to talk about exactly what I want. Then two appointments later when I decided to grow it back out, he patiently coaxed it from short to long, helping me avoid the very awkward stages normally associated with growing thick, coarse hair out. He also is amazing with coloring. Just look at the salons facebook page and you can see that. Hes also more than happy and willing to do what it takes to have a person love their hair, including but not limited to, being dead honest that something wont work for you to fixing a cut if you are very unhappy with it. I drive over 30 miles one way to get my hair done by Ahead of the Curve and I never regret it. Take the time to go check them out!

Posting under my boyfriends email. I scheduled my microderm abrasion a few weeks out and went in yesterday. The woman who did it was very nice and welcoming, she asked questions and was also very informative. She got started and at first it was relaxing as she did a facial massage and the microderm. About halfway through she asked if I was interested in a chemical peel so, after she told me about it I agreed to try it for 10$ more. It was bad. It itched and had a slight burn the whole 5 minutes it was on and frozen rags were used to clean it off. Afterwards, my face was red and got and now, the next day I have a rash like burn surrounding my nose. Although the service was cheaper than anything else locally, (She also gave me a first visit discount) I felt it was a waste of 55$ and 30 mins of my time only for my skin to be more irritated than it was before I had it done.

I drive in from Omaha to get my hair cut and colored here because Brad always does an amazing job. Been going here for years and cant think of one time where I didnt love my cut and color. I can also be indecisive and he will gladly help me anytime. Environment is very laid back and friendly - definitely not snobby like some salons. Also love the comfy lounge seating with phone charger plug ins on each chair to shoot in while your color processes and free wifi. He usually carries hair product that I havent seen anywhere else. Currently, the main one is called Ref and its the best hair product Ive ever tried.

I did not enjoy my experience at this salon. I did not receive any relaxing moments and just stressful. My hair was not what I asked for in the end even though I was extremely thorough during my consultation. Salon was very clean. It was fairly slow on a weekend afternoon but the stylist I had didnt seem engaged at all. I am new to the area looking for a new stylist but will not be back. Did not have a good experience at all. ( my appt was in June ) I really wish I had a better review and I apologise for that.

I am very wary of people cutting my hair. In the past I have had horrible experiences with hair stylists. The staff at Ahead of the Curve Salon are amazing!! I have never had a problem with them messing my hair up. They give me suggestions when I am not sure what I want done. I have been going to them for 3 years now and I plan on going to them for as long as I can. The one thing I havent tried yet is their massage therapists. I have heard they are amazing!

Ahead of the Curve staff welcomes you the minute you open the door! The environment is friendly and fun! Stepping out of my 80s hairstyle box was easier with Brads ideas and baby steps! Hes willing to listen, ask questions, and explain options! I always look forward to a "Me Day" at Ahead of the Curve, knowing Ill have a smile on my face walking out the door!
