While technically a very proficient barber, I will not be going back because he did not listen to what I asked for. I came in asking for a "trim" of my hair and lengthy beard. Hair was fine, I keep a style that only Sport Clips can seem to mess up. However, what I envisioned from a "trim and shape" of my beard, apparently meant to him cut it back to an 1/8th of an inch and leave me with just a chin strap (a look which I loath btw). I would of stopped him, but by the time I realize what he was doing (using the trimmers on my beard without the guard Id assumed hed had, it was already to late to save it so I sat there and let him finish butchering my face. Now Im left with the options of going back to my summer goatee in March, or leave this as it is and hope it grows out quick. Thinking Ill go goatee (its bad people. Not quite Jersey Shore grease ball, but close.) Lesson from this shop? Youd better define exactly what you want from him, or hell do whatever he damn well pleases. I will NOT be going back. I typically go to Beverly Hills Barbers (which I HIGHLY recommend) on Dodge, but since they dont do beards, I tried somewhere new.

I was visiting Omaha and needed a haircut at 4:55. I called Stan, explained my predicament and he graciously waited for me me. When I arrived, I found a neat, clean barber shop with the most comfortable chairs Ive ever sat in. The first test was passed: good barber shops are always clean and well-ordered. I also met Stan. Well-dressed and well-groomed, he passed the second test: the person whos going to take care of your appearance must be able to take care of their own! The haircut Stan gave was one that only someone with experience and care could give. He impressed me so much that I also opted to get a shave as well. And believe me, somebody needs to impress me before they put an instrument of death to my neck! If Im ever through Omaha again, Im going to make a point to stop here.

This was the most legit barbershop experience Ive ever had. Stan is the most friendly, most hilarious guy ever and is a really classy guy. He does the haircuts in a very old-school way (he even shaves around the ears), and he does a great job. He also offers straight-razor shaves which is an experience that every guy needs to try. Its a good idea to call ahead, and make sure you bring cash because he doesnt accept credit/debit. Also, fun side note: the shops in the same building as Berkshire-Hathaway, and from what Ive heard the oracle of Omaha himself has been frequenting the shop for the last 20 years or so...

A+ Experience. I went there for the first time yesterday and I believe he stayed open later in the afternoon just for me. He was extremely friendly and outgoing. I keep my hair longer than most guys and he did a great job cutting it. He even threw in a little clean up on my beard and didnt charge me the cost of a full shave! As reviews below state, he doesnt accept plastic, so be sure to bring cash. Overall a good experience and would recommended.

Stan has a great attitude and humble personality. He does a great job. After he cuts your hair, he carefully shaves around your ears with hot foam, and then uses a warm washcloth around your ears. Call ahead or stop by to get yourself on the schedule. His shop is located just below the lobby at the bottom of the marble stairs.

I said to the barber, nothing off the top, but he still took a good inch off the front. this was exactly what I asked him not to do. disappointed that he did not follow very simple instructions. otherwise okay I guess but who wants to use a barber that goes rouge or easily forgets his clients requests?

Wouldnt chance it here. Called to inquire, found myself speaking to "Stan". Extremely rude, very pushy, basically a complete pig. Forced me off the line before I could even say "hair cut". Thanks for the experience, at least I didnt waste my time coming in.
