I have to say, I have been going to this place for a while and its conveniently located close to my home. But today, I went in for a hair cut and took my 5 year old daughter with me who was just absolutely adorable. I am honestly saying she was very well behaved, she did not make a mess, cry or distract or disturb anyone. April who did my hair was awesome and loved chatting with my little girl while cutting my hair and my girl who is a true princess loved watching mommy get a hair cut. Yet at the end, the girl at the register (didnt catch her name) told me they dont allow kids for safety reasons because they have concrete floor so for next time, I should keep that in mind. Are you serious? for safety reasons? because of concrete floor? Walmart has concrete floor and so does any supermarket. will they stop allowing kids because of that reason? I can understand if she said kids can be distracting to some customers but i wouldnt take a toddler or an infant with me anyway. We are talking about a 5 year old who goes to school and is well behaved. Are you telling me if I wanted to bring her in for a hair cut, you would deny me the service? I dont know I just found it was unnecessary for her to give me a lecture on kid safety! other than that, I love the girls there who do my hair and they do a fantastic job. I am just a bit turned off by someone telling me off like that after I paid a hefty amount for a hair cut (lets be honest, place is a bit overpriced) and leave a generous tip!

very happy with both my facial and highlight today but disappointed in how my transaction was handled....had a "new client" 25% off coupon for a service different then my first visit (haircut) which I wanted to use today since I was getting a facial...initially forgot to give the coupon when checking out so asked if they could void the transaction and complete again....the desk girl went to check with someone and returned to tell me no I couldnt use the coupon as it already had been used....my immediate response was to stop and think but I was certain I had not used it previously....after a little investigation it was confirmed that no, I had not previously used it but now I couldnt because it should have been used on my second visit, which this was not...I was a little disappointed because no where on the coupon did it say it needed to be used on the second visit...it simple stated to come back soon for a service different than your first...when I stated this I was told it was "implied"...should I also then feel it was "implied" I was called dishonest when told I had already used the coupon?....never once was any attempt made to appease the customer or rectify the situation....BAD business dealings!

I LOVE THIS PLACE ! Ive been working out 5 times a week so my shoulders, neck and back really hurt. My husband said I have a lot of knots and tension in those areas which is why I feel so uncomfortable. I was going to make an appointment at Despasquale in Morristown but theyre not open on Sundays. I called True Spa because it was near to where I work. JR handled the phone call and she was super pleasant and friendly. She told me that the day was booked with massage appointments. When I told her about my troubled areas, she said she would squeeze me in for a half an hour massage which was perfect! It was better than nothing at all haha. I received my massage service from Diana and let me tell you, she is REALLY good. I had a great experience with her and she was helpful. After I left, I felt rejuvenated and relaxed. My shoulder pain was alleviated which was a nice surprise. I will definitely be coming back in 2 weeks for another relaxing session.

I went to TRU 3 times. The service was so so (after having my eyebrows done I looked like a clown; my hair was done fine) and overpriced comparing to other similar places in the Branchburg-Bridgewater area. The front desk girls are terrible. You are not able to schedule an appointment for color and haircut at the same day (they explain that it is so hard to get Chrissy and John together). They force you to come twice. The place is nice but I think we should judge the place based on the service. Find a better place. PS. It is so hard to find a parking space.

I went in not knowing what I wanted done. All I knew was that my hair was bad. I told Jonny (not sure if that’s how you spell his name) to give me something that would take almost no effort to maintain and be good for “The Corporate Environment”. I got exactly that. I am very happy. The wait was short. All the people that I interacted with were very nice and helpful. Cons – It was a little expensive. I guess like in all things you get what you pay for. All in all I will be going back next time I need a haircut.

Very very rude, insensitive, unpolished front desk hostess named Kira, who was arrogant, dismissive, and refused to take a message for call back for the senior stylist John even though I have worked with his suggestions and service for several years. I cant imagine why they put her there, but it is this kind of people who drive business to the ground. No wonder people are leaving this place: this kind of customer service completely eclipses the talent that may lie there. Take my advice. Go to a better place.

Ive been looking for a great salon in this area and FINALLY found it at TRU!! Needless to say, Im thrilled! The service was excellent, the cleanliness exceptional, and the stylist who did my hair, Kim, listened to me carefully and did my highlights EXACTLY the way I like them. I would recommend this spa to anyone looking for a good, quality service at a price consistent with the market in the area. Tip: They have a blow out bar with tons of products if you dont wish to pay to have them blow out your hair.

I have curly hair and after discussing it with the reception staff they assured me that their stylists were highly trained in styling curly hair. Dont know what they based that on. I went in to have 3 inches cut off and the lady only cut off one. I didnt notice it at first because curly hair curls up and she had straightened it for me. I realized later that she hadnt done anything. I was given a ridiculously over-priced trim. I was EXTREMELY disappointed with the service I received.

Do not patronize this salon. I went there for about 4 years until I got sick of the staff asking for cash tips repeatedly (I do not need to be told this every time I go to cash out, especially when paying over $200-250 per visit)! Then, when THEY ASKED ME for feedback and I gave it, I was berated by the Manager! The owners were notified as well and apparently they do not care either. They put me in a position where I just cannot ever go back there again! DONT DO IT!

Everytime I have visited this salon and spa I have loved my experience. I have had massages, pedicures, highlights, cuts, brows, scrubs and blowouts! Joan has taught in London and does beautiful highlights, I highly recommend her. (I had highlights by Kim once and was not too impressed, though) You wont be disappointed. I am not sure the bad reviews were at TRU! I have never had a problem with the reception girls. They are all pleasent.
