FedEx SmartPost, is the worst .. my product drove right by my house 3 times and ended up two states away, now I understand it has to go to a rerouting center but there is a FedEx location right up the street from my house how and why did it go to another state whenever I order something on eBay I beg them to not use FedEx but they do because it is the cheapest around and it really shows I would gladly pay the extra if they would just use either the U.S.P.S. or even UPS . It never EVER fails to wait 13 21 days for an item just half way across the country when they use FEDEX , Ive never seen such incompetence in my life Perhaps Im just getting use to such great shipping by UPS or USPS The last time I used the US Post office I got an item from California to Cape Cod in 3 days. FedEx couldnt deliver a pizza 2 miles away in that amount of time let alone across the country. Im serious. eBay should MAKE sellers post the shipper they intend to use , so I can buy accordingly. I wonder how many negative feedback scores were caused by these guys ? OH yea, and one more thing, the last time the FEDEX driver had to call me "my home address is reported wrong on all GPS for some reason" he did not even speak english. Good thing I know just enough spanish to have very basic comms FedEx get it together man perhaps study whatever it is that USPS or UPS is doing because whatever you guys are doing it just isnt working in this area, Even DHL had FedEx beat, however I havent seen DHL around in a while, I wonder what happened to them?

Every time something is shipped through FedEx Smart Post, they wont deliver it directly to me. Possibly because I live in an apartment building, but UPS ALWAYS ships it directly to me. Instead, they give you some sorry excuse for not delivering it. Also, this method of shipping takes much longer than the traditional USPS; their shipping is slower and in the end, youll end up picking your item up in the post office anyways. This is the most ridiculous service I have ever seen in my life. The reason why you would want your package to be shipped by FedEx or UPS is because you want it delivered to your doorstep, not waiting a bunch of days just to pick it up in your local post office. In the end, UPS comes out superior in every way shape or form. If youre a seller, save your customers from frustration and either choose UPS or just save some money and ship it through USPS. Amazon and Newegg should have an option to never have your item shipped via FedEx. I hope their other services are better, if not; I dont understand how this company hasnt become completely obsolete yet. I usually dont do reviews, but I had to let out some frustration. Theres no reason for an item to take a week to arrive especially when the location they shipped it from is about 50 miles away from you.

There was once a time that I swore by Fedex. To put it bluntly, FEDEX SmartPost sucks. To align oneself with the USPS is plainly put SUICIDE. In November, I had a delivery that took two weeks, maybe more. When I found out that the item was shipped SmartPost, I contacted FEDEX hoping to upgrade the shipping. FEDEX outwardly REFUSE TO ACCOMMODATE ME. Unknownst to me Walmart, shipped several items which I am counting on for Christmas SmartPost, ugh! History repeats itself. Have contacted USPS as I did a month ago. This time around it took USPS three days to update their records. For one or two shipments, Im still waiting and since USPS is so bloody awful. For the past 48 hours, I have laid in wait for two shipments that were out for delivery. How does this look for FEDEX? Pretty bad. Look who you chose to align yourself with? And yes, UPS has a similar service, however, the receiver is given an option to UPGRADE aka a PREFERENCE which FEDEX does not deny. Plainly put, FedexSmartPost SUCKS! I will from now on demand that whomever I deal with only ship my items UPS. Totally done with you.

Ditto on the "less then 1 star. This is the absolute worst way to ship a package (smart post). Tried it several times now, and consistently disappoint. My package is 20 miles from me now, and will take about 3 more days to reach me (I hope). Been 8 days thus far. Seems from "tracking", expect it to sit about 2 or 3 days at each drop off point. Pay the extra cash if you can. "Smart Post" simply has no priority in delivery, and "when they get to it", is when your get it. Service is deplorable!!! Its just a matter of time before this type of delivery goes under... or it changes. I understand its the cheaper form of delivery, and will take longer, but this is just ridiculous. Expect later delivery then they say. I almost have to laugh, because one day it will be 10 miles from my house, and then another day it will be delivered to a new location, 60 miles from my house. For the very few here, who said it worked fine, as you can see, youre the exception, and it should be the other way around. Even a broken clock gets it right twice a day!

FedEx Smart Post lost my package. Below is the tracking info. Apparently, the package evaporated after leaving the Fedex office in Allentown. Today is October 7 and there has been no sign of it. DONT USE FEDEX SMARTPOST!!!! I wanted to write a scathing review of Fed Ex SmartPost but everyone else seems to agree how terrible they are. I wanted to write about how a package sat for 1 week "in transit" with no scanning activity. I wanted to write how, after that week, even the Fed Ex supervisor I spoke with filed a lost package report. I wanted to write about the actual SmartPost customer service rep from Fed Ex was the only Fed Ex person I could find, after googling the 25 "hubs" where they hand-off to USPS - how she magically tracked the package on the 11th day (which still hadnt been given to USPS for delivery) and pleasantly explained to me that its the best, most affordable way for their shippers to deliver packages. I AM writing to you all to BEWARE!! Pony Express was faster and more reliable. Almost 3 weeks and still counting - one 8in 3 lb box. !!!! I normally like FedEx, but the SmartPost service is the dumbest, most poorly run, inept, and convoluted shipping system Ive ever heard of. Really.
