Best move we ever made!!! We had enrolled our son at another local daycare center at the end of last year, as we had just moved to the area, and while I will not say the name of that other school, upon starting there, we were not very happy...with the clientele... Since my son was in a carrier, then later, I would carry him in, I often had my hands full with him as well as his daily bags of food and clothes...More often than not, any parent leaving or going in would not even look and would then not even make gesture to hold door open. Add in parents in their Porsches and Land Rovers parking in non-parking space or in the fire lane, just so they didnt have to walk a few extra feet, and the courtesy factor here at this now ex-school was very apparent (not even a hello from parents passing by in the AM). I will say though that staff were quite good, but I get the feeling they were quite jaded from having to deal with such awful parents. Fast forward to this Goddard School and from Day 1, a staff member has opened the door, parents coming in or out do the same, and everyone says good morning, be it staffer, director or parent. Any of the owners know our names, I get a handshake from the owner whenever I see him, and the overall feel is a complete 180 from the previous center. I cant speak for the other area daycare centers but of the 2 we have attended, hands down, Goddard, Pond Road gets my recommendation for anyone looking to enroll their kids.

Hi! My son had a very short one-month experience at The Goddard School, and frankly it shouldve been shorter. Although I feel that my son had daily socialization and interaction with other babies which is a huge positive and the fact that the staff is generally nice when I talked with them, I cant express how deeply disappointed I am with how this school is run. I have personally witnessed one of the lead teachers in the infant room feed a piece of watermelon off of her own fork to one of the babies in there. In my opinion, thats disgusting and unsanitary! I have also witnessed another teacher throwing a small container of a childs (in the Seahorse room) hummus into the garbage instead of feeding it to him or putting it on the table for him to eat. I have overheard a assistant teacher from the Seahorse room saying that she doesnt wipe the children while changing their diapers (only poopy diapers). I have also overheard two of the assistant teachers there discussing how old a child was to be drinking breast milk. Who cares if a child still drinks breast milk?!?! Its none of their business! When I personally addressed these issues to one of the owners, his excuse was that he wasnt aware of things like this. I was absolutely shocked!! Needless to say, I will NEVER enroll any of my children into a Goddard School, let alone the one on Pond Road in Freehold, NJ.

My daughter was enrolled at The Goddard School on Pond Road for three years. Moving to New Jersey from New York and not knowing much about local pre schools, I was fortunate enough to have a friend who recommended this school. When we came in for the tour and met Kevin, my husband and I knew right away this was the perfect place for our daughter. At the time my daughter was 2 1/2 and it was a little tough with her transitioning. The staff worked with me and within a few weeks our daughter adjusted well. We started with 2 days per week and she wound up going everyday! It was a great feeling to know she was in a safe environment under the care of a hard working staff. When my daughter graduated pre-k last June it was very bittersweet. I wasnt ready to say goodbye. In our town, Kindergarten is a full day and I felt she was more than ready academically and socially to enter a public school. It is almost two months into the new school year and we can honestly say we miss Goddard and their staff. My daughter mentions Mr. Kevin often and talks about her friends that she has made there. Goddard was a great beginning for our daughter and we were fortunate we were able to have that experience.

We were very blessed to be able to join The Goddard School (Pond Road) from the day of the schools opening. As a first time mother, I was a nervous wreck but there was an instant comfort zone after touring the school, meeting the staff, hearing about their amazing curriculum and of course meeting and talking in depth with the owners, Mr. Kevin & Mr. Ralph. Both of our children are now alumni, our youngest graduated Pre-K this past June and both of our children thrived throughout all their years at Goddard (from the infant room straight thru to Pre-K). It was such a bittersweet feeling leaving our second home this past summer, but it has been an absolute pleasure and gift to be able to have our kids part of the Goddard Family for over 7 years! There is an extra special place in our hearts being with Goddard from the day the doors opened and we have memories for a lifetime in our hearts! We are very grateful for the amazing staff for growing our children into the little "smart" people that they are today and cannot thank each & every one of them enough! As Mr. Kevin always said...."dont blink" and he wasnt kidding!!! Much love & respect to "our" Goddard School....

I can’t say enough about the school. I feel extremely grateful to have a school such as this in my neighborhood that my kids can go to. The school has the right balance of play, academics and discipline. My daughter is enrolled here in the Pre-K class and she has been with the school since she was 2 years old. My older son graduated from their Pre-K class and today is a well-adjusted 1st Grader, who still loves going back to visit his Goddard teachers. Academically my kids developed ahead of the curve as the curriculum is well balanced. Their vocabulary is strong as the books being read to them in school are well chosen. Social skills are encouraged through play and class performances. Kids are taught social responsibility through regular donation drives and current events (e.g. Elections) are role-played in school. Above all what I am most pleased as a parent is the positive environment created for the kids. The school is well-managed and small enough to accommodate special requests personally. As you enter the premises you will always be greeted by Mr. Kevin with a big smile and that sets the tone of the day for the kids.

Our family chose the Goddard School on Pond Road to care for our infant son and we were immediately welcomed into the schools community. Over four years later, our two sons are now enrolled at the school. The teachers at Goddard are well qualified and create a positive and safe classroom environment for the children. They work cooperatively to provide the children with the best possible learning experience. We appreciate the teachers detailed daily reports of the class activities and our childs day. The owners and director of the school are always available and easily accessible in person at the school, as well as by phone and email. They always quickly and thoroughly address any of our concerns, work with us as far as scheduling the boys attendance, and remain competitive in their tuition, registration and summer camp rates. We have developed relationships with the teachers at the school and enjoy sharing milestones and exciting happenings with them. We happily trust that our boys are safe, learning and having fun with their teachers and peers every day when we drop them off at school.
