This salon is disgusting. It looks like they barely ever clean it. I have been there multiple times a year since 2007 and for the last 3 years I cannot remember having a good experience. The stylists clearly dont know what theyre doing. At my most recent visit, I came and my stylist did not even check the color or length of my hair. I brought in multiple pictures, and talked to my stylist about putting a few different colors in my hair. I came in with hair very easy to work with that was healthy and long. I had a sharp V cut in the back. My stylist put on an UGLY color copper that my roots took to (OBVIOUSLY SINCE I HAVE ROOTS YOU CANT YUSE THE SAME COLOR ON THE REST OF MY HAIR.) As AMANDA was doing my hair, she kept letting my bangs sit on my forehead, getting copper & dark brown dye all over my forehead, it was stinging really badly. She did not separate my hair (the under dark brown from the copper on top) so there was no straight line of where one color starts & the other ended. After 35 minutes of her applying the dye, she set a timer & did not get the hair or dye off my face, I asked for a water bottle, she said sure, forgot & went to another customer!!!!!! After all of this, she cut my beautiful hair STRAIGHT ACROSS, didnt give me the layers I had asked for, had to re dye my roots and told me because I may be getting my period that my roots came out so light..... I had no red in my hair I wanted it to be brown & blonde when I came in for my APPT. She did not apologize, I told the RUDE manager who also has a daughter who works at the salon, that was also at the desk how horrible it looked, she claims its my fault because 1 OF THE 10 PICTURES I SHOWED HER HAD A TINT OF RED, SHE SUGGESTED I USE A BOX COLOR THEN IF I WAS NOT HAPPY. She was rude & I had dye all over my face still while they were telling me im wrong, Ha! I came back a week later to get it fixed & they messed it up even more. The girl who "fixed it" tried to kick us out, saying they couldnt please me & I had come back to get a more expensive dye job then originally done the week before. They did not check the color after & had ME DRY MY OWN HAIR WITH USED BRUSHES. UNPROFESSIOnAL. DIRTY, RUDE, & CLEARLY NO CONCEPT OF CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! YUCK!!!

I used a Groupon at the Marlboro Metro for a full head of hi-lights which are to be blond as have been for over 10+ years along with a haircut, treatment and blowout. I was scheduled with a female named Dominique and I told her that I wanted to hi-lights close to the root as I have always had done as well as blond, NOT a brassy, orange-yellow type blond. Well, I washed my hair the following day, thinking that the brassy color would come out which it did not. I gave it a few more tries over the following week however no improvement and my entire hairline was brown, meaning the roots were not close enough as per my request. It was a horrible color of what they consider to be blond since I finally had time to stop in the salon to show them my hair. I was told that my roots were grown out since it was two weeks which is a joke since I always have had no sign of brown (natural hair color) for the first month following a full head of hi-lights. I wear my hair up alot and it is disgusiting to be seen with all different shades of blond, yellow, orange and brown hair. Dominque told me that the orange was from my makeup which is not the case at all since I washed my hair countless times then blew it out and always had this color near the roots since she did my hair. I was only offered to come in and she would put a toner on AGAIN. It seems Metro really comes up with great excuses for poorly done color put on your hair. It is extremely frustrating when you complain about the color being totally off and they automatically have excuses to blame it on the customer. I would never pay for their services again and regret giving METRO of Marlboro another chance at doing my hi-lights after numerous years of trying them out in the past. I guess the GROUPON is at a lower price because you pay for what you get which is horrible color. I do not recommend anyone with blond hi-lights going here.

TERRIBLE SALON DO NOT GO HERE-read this all and you will know why! I had an appointment with Danette for a haircut. She was SO incredibly rude from the second I arrived. She sat me down in her chair and starts commenting on how thick my hair is and giving me nasty looks. She then proceeds to start straightening my hair (mind you I was here for a wash/haircut/blowout. She said she was going to straighten my hair then cut it then wash it and blow it out??? I know I have thick hair but no one has EVER had to do this before. She then told me if I had a groupon and that if I did have a groupon she was going to charge me $25 extra... I then asked her VERY POLITELY what the $25 fee was for. She replied while huffing and puffing, "BECAUSE ALL OF THIS WORK I HAVE TO DO ON YOU, IF YOU DONT LIKE IT THEN LEAVE". I turned around to her so shocked and said excuse me are you serious.. and she then proceeds to say "SO SERIOUS, BYE" while snatching the cape off of my neck!!!!!!!!!!! I went to the front and asked for the manager and receptionist who were also VERY RUDE and incredibly unprofessional. I asked for the lady who was doing my hairs name and license number and they refused to give it to me EVEN THOUGH THAT IS MY LEGAL RIGHT, and I had to call the cops in order for the salon to FINALLY give me her name and license number. The owner was just as nasty as the rest of them. WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are a hairstylist, you should be able to deal with ANY kind of hair and if you are not capable of that then you should not try and charge people extra just because you are inept. My friend has also been to this salon and had a TERRIBLE experience with Danette who doesnt even know how to give a proper blow out to someone who doesnt even have thick hair. ALL IN ALL THIS IS A TERRIBLE ESTABLISHMENT-DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I called and spoke with the receptionist about what I was looking for and needed a recommendation on who to use and was matched up with NicoleA. On my appointment day, I had a hard time finding the salon. It looked like it was closed down. None of the stores are open in the area. I walked in and was pretty much ignored for the first 10 minutes. I had to go up to a girl sweeping to say who I was and she shrugged her shoulders. She was sweeping but leaving hair all over the place. Just a little strange. I could see why the salon was dirty and messy. But I heard great things about this place from reviews and the web. I had to wait for my stylist since she was wrapping up with another client. I didnt mind. I heard great things about this girl and my hair needed to get done for my 30th Bday party. When she was ready for me she barely even said hello and just starting barking about how what I wanted to do wasnt possible and i should just get highlights. I told her I had bleach in my hair tons of time and she blew me off. She pretty much did a terrible job. I dont know if she didnt the bleach on long enough, because its turned out orange. I know that means its under processed. When that happens, there is nothing you can do. She threw in a toner and it looked like a dirty orange/brown. Not the look I wanted. I originally showed her a picture of a actress from the "wolf of wall street" and she had the nerve to point to a picture she has hanging on her wall...."Im a beautician not a magician". I laughed and told her then im not paying and took it up with the manager. It worked out in the end for me. Just be careful and make sure you get your point across and proceed with caution.
