Got quite an average haircut to be honest. Its possible that my expectations were a little high after hearing great reviews from a friend. The sides looked great but whats the point if it looks like a toxic island in the middle. I think the cut would have looked good on many other heads but definitely didnt work on mine as I have quite curly hair. The staff were extremely courteous and friendly. They also offer beer and other beverages which I courteously declined. Im all for a great customer experience but a haircut for me personally is mostly about getting the job done. Ill probably give virile another try.

I began searching for a barber about 12 months before my wedding, not knowing my wedding would be in 12 months. I went to a handful of places in Jersey City before Virile, although once Emmy became my barber, I looked no further. The experience is always great, so much so that I booked face shaves and beard trims for my wedding with my groomsmen, father, and now father-in-law. We had a great time, as did our photographer, who captured the dapper moments as we got cleaned up.

Simply the best. I tried out 4 different barber shops before finding Virile and they are heads and shoulders above all their competition. The quality of the haircut is superb. I almost always get compliments the week after visiting them. The atmosphere is relaxed, clean, classy. Youre offered some whiskey or any other drink while you wait. Andre is the best. Theres a great reason why this place is booked solid weeks in advance.

After trying 2 other Jersey City barbershops since moving from FL, Im glad to have found Virile. The staff are friendly and the haircuts are top notch. Julian done my last 2 haircuts and they have been perfect. Will definitely continue coming back and as others have said, scheduling an appointment ahead of time is highly recommended!

I came here to get a cut before my wedding. Definitely the nicest cut Ive gotten, but if youre just looking for a standard cut with nothing special its a bit expensive. Worth it if you have to look 100% for something but not affordable to do every 6 weeks, at least not for me. Excellent customer service.

Everyone here is welcoming and really cool. They offer a variety of whiskey or beer which is an added bonus. Book an appointment around 2 weeks ahead of time since peak times book up fast.

The folks at virile take great care of you. Great haircuts. Make sure you make an appointment. They arent opposed to walk-ins, but have been booked a week or two out for quite a while.
