We recently moved from Northern NJ to Monmouth County. I had my daughter in Rainbow Academy in Mahwah since she was three months old. I adored everything about it; the facilities, the teachers and the hall directors. I really felt like they partnered with me in every aspect of my daughters care. When I received a job offer I jumped at the chance but deliberated at great length as to which childcare center to enroll my daughter in. There was a Rainbow Academy somewhat near my new home and another school 5 minutes from my office. I toured both and was really impressed with Rainbow Academy in Manasquan however, I choose the other facility because it appeared to be comparable to Rainbow Academy and it was close to work. Needless to say my daughter was at the other facility for one week and I was scrambling to find more suitable childcare. I called and spoke with Lauren at Rainbow Academy in Manasquan and told her what a nightmare the other center was, she quickly offered my daughter the remaining spot in their toddler room and let me know we could starting coming as soon as possible. Rainbow Academy of Manasquan has been remarkable; I am extraordinarily happy with this facility and highly recommend it to everyone. My daughter is fully engaged at all times. Each week we received a lesson plan outlining all of the things they children will do throughout the day. Music, dramatic play, reading, art, and physical activity are all done daily. She comes home excited to tell me about all of the things she did that day. They are truly instilling a love of learning in her from the start. They are professional, compassionate; nurturing and the teachers really do care about the each and every child. Not only did they make sure my daughter seamlessly transitioned to their center they also checked in with me to make sure my family was acclimating to the area as well. We have had some medical concerns over the past year and when we discussed them with the staff at Rainbow Academy they assured us they were quite capable of addressing all of our needs. Several months ago my daughter had a febrile seizure it was one of the most frightening experiences of my life. The doctors told us that there is a chance she might have one again in the future. When I spoke to the assistance hall director Tara Defalco she gave me the exact run down of what they do and assured me they had dealt with febrile seizures before, they go so far as to go the hospital with the child and stay there with them until a parent arrives. What a sense of security to know that if my child is in need someone she knows will be there with her until mommy and daddy arrive! My also daughter had a bout with dehydration in the past. When she became sick at school and refused to drink, not only did they call me immediately to let me know they went out to the store and bought her ice pops to make sure she got some fluids in her. The dedication of the teachers, staff and directors at Rainbow Academy of Manasquan is truly unmatched. I believe wholeheartedly that may daughter is getting the best care available. They are in a word amazing.

Sorry I had to edit my review.....I loved the teachers in the walking infants room when my daughter started at Rainbow. When she moved into the next classroom it was awful. The teachers were not attentive, they do not watch the children, and one of the teachers is rough in her handling of the children. I watched my child eating another childs lunch ( Im not talking a few bites, a lot) while three teachers chatted with each other. So much for food allergies or knowing what your child is eating. Their free play consists of 17 kids throwing toys all over the floor and tripping over them and each other, while three teachers chat to each other. I did not like the rough handed teacher who carries kids around like footballs and uses her knees to abruptly push children into the table. Lastly they put all the "problem" sleepers out of view of the cameras, Why? So you cant see! Couple that with a cold hearted fake director and you have the glorious Rainbow Academy. Keep all your fancy gadgets, and brand new school, I would not recommend someone leave their dog there to be watched. I was asked to leave the school because I nicely asked why my daughter was sent home in a soaking wet diaper with a dry one placed over it!! She could not even sit down it was so tight. Shame on me for thinking the these things normal and not pulling her out earlier. I regret it all the time. You have done me a great favor though, because the school DOWN THE STREET is AMAZING!!! My daughter came alive there and now I know I wasnt crazy. Watch those cameras if you decide to send your child there.

My one year old is thriving in the Young Infant Room at The Rainbow Academy in Manasquan. She has been there since she was 5 months old and is in their care three days per week. I had toured other child care facilities and contemplated an in home nanny but once I stepped foot into the building I knew it was the place for her. The facility is immaculate and cheerful, and the staff is very friendly. The artwork lining the walls is clever and cute. The teacher’s in my daughter’s class are wonderful, caring ladies. They really work hard to stay on the scheduled I set for my daughter. The infants do crafts take naps, and play, play, play. The teachers have helped with my daughter’s development: sitting, standing, clapping ect…they really engage her. And most importantly they emotionally connect with her by picking her up, rocking her, and hugging her. I also like that she is in a class with others her age as well as different ages because it helps her to develop and connect with other children. She already has some friends there! The Watch Me Grow option is fabulous; it is a camera in the nursery so that you can watch your child. I see my daughter play and laugh, and eat and nap while I am at work. My mother, aunts, and sisters watch her as well…in fact we talk amongst ourselves about “her day.” With this camera option I feel that I am still with her on the days I work which is wonderfully reassuring. I can honestly say my husband and I love The Rainbow Academy in Manasquan because they take such good care of what is most precious to us, our daughter.

TRY ANOTHER FACILITY!! THEY are OVERPRICED for the LACK of Quality and Attention Given to TODDLERS: My toddler started the Rainbow Academy in September and was enjoying it for the most part. Then the first Biting incident happened, and then another 2 Biting incidents (totalling 3 in 2 weeks). I approached the teachers and assistant director about my concerns for my childs safety, but I was dismissed with "Biting is age appropriate" and we are working with MY CHILD to use her words. I asked if there was a "Biting Policy" but got nothing. Instead, they (the professionals running the business) asked me to sit down with them and give THEM suggestions!!! Isnt that what Im paying them for??? At 18 months, my daughter does NOT understand what is going on when a child is going to harm her. We were depending on the school personel and administration to remedy the situation and protect her from other children biting but they did not. As a result, she was removed and will be starting a NEW daycare facilty that promises to be a positive, SAFE learning environment.
