Things are not always as they seem. I was wowed over at the tour of the school as it is a very beautiful school and new. In the tour, I was introduced to who would be my sons teacher. An older woman with a lot of experience with children and a mom of several kids. She was someone that could handle my child and assist with him. Some kids are just easy... however my son is a bit difficult. He had been in a school where the kids were rough with him and he learned some bad habits. I switched to the Learning Experience because I hoped and they sold me on that they would work with my son to teach him better skills with other children. Then after 30 days, suddenly, he was combined in a class with 2 year olds and he is 3. A MUCH YOUNGER teacher replaced the experienced teacher I was sold. A teacher who did not change her tone much and who my son did not listen to. I was asked to sign papers regularly that... my 3 year old spilled paint on the floor??? my 3 year old threw foam blocks?? They were asking me how they should deal with it. He does not behave that way in the house or out and about with me so I thought they should be savvy and learn how to get him to listen to them. I also mentioned that by letting him go a week or two without any discipline was a very bad start. He should respect his teacher and know that he could not get away with certain things without some kind of repercussion.... They sold me on a mediation station for discipline also where they pull the child aside and sit him down to discuss what he did wrong. But going 2 weeks with my child getting away with anything then suddenly deciding.. we have to get a hold of him. I gave a couple of suggestions. My sister who was teacher of the year and has a known history of making a difference in the lives of children, not just easy kids. We all know there are kids that are just easy... and there are some that are harder. Ms. Stacy started pressuring me and my husband saying that she could not afford to hire a second teacher in the room. I told Ms. Stacy that I would have my son evaluated and see if we can someone to come help us make strategies to make a difference in my childs life and behavior. She assured me she would be patient and help us through this and be patient with my child. While waiting for an appointment with the child evaluation team, she started calling me out of work because my son threw a FOAM block. Now he was learning that, yes if I throw a FOAM block, I can go home to Mommy or Daddy. YAY. She kept saying again and again... for he safety of the children for the safety of the children. I spoke to now mind you when I say many parents, I mean hundreds!! about their children, and primary boys. Google it if you would like. Boys tend to be rougher and harder feat to get them to listen. Yes I am working toward ruling out ADHD or anything BUT my child was pushed out of this school because they could not get him to listen. No strategies were written down and offered to me that we tried this... consistently.... we tried that consistently. I am EXTREMELY disappointed in this school. If you do not have a VERY easy child, they will give up on him or her. While he was with the older experienced teacher, I never got a slip and never heard a negative comment about my son. Once the teachers changed, a month and a week later after many papers about throwing foam blocks and spilling paint on the floor, they gave up on my 3 year old instead of making a difference in a childs life. How disappionting as a school and as teachers and as a human being. EXTREMELY saddened by the outcome. So in the end, I would suggest that you only check this school out if you have an easy child. If you have a child that is a little more difficult and needs some extra work and discipline, this is not the school for you!!!

TLE is by far the best center around! From the second my wife and I walked into the school we were impressed. When we were given a tour, we knew immediately that this was the place to send our son. The director, Stacey, and her amazing staff welcomed us with open arms and they all were very polite and made our son feel at home as we visited his classroom and met his teacher. Once he saw all his classmates and the classroom he was ready to begin and started interacting with the students. It was great as a parent to see my son feel so comfortable at this school. When we sat down to discuss things with Stacey we knew instantly that we were ready to enroll our son, and we did that on the spot! As she explained all the enrichment programs they offer, which is all included in the price, we were even more amazed by this school. I could not be any happier with our decision. My son is a little difficult and had trouble listening to my wife and I at times but The Learning Experience was willing to work with him and us in order to improve these skills. His teacher gave us a summary of how each day was and how well he would do that day. Since we have started sending our son to TLE he has improved tremendously. He is listening to us more and he has definitely improved his behavior at home as well. We are happy to hear that he is improving each and every day and that TLE was willing and able to work with us and improve his behavior. He is so happy every day when we drop him off and he never wants to leave at the end of the day when I go to pick him up. I am so glad my wife and I chose to send our son to The Learning Experience and I am looking forward to him improving even more. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone interested in sending their child, you will definitely be just as impressed by this center as my wife and I have been.

I couldnt imagine sending my son anywhere else. I visited 6 daycare facilities before choosing TLE in Wall, ranging from an in home private daycare to a corporate franchise, like TLE. I was extremely impressed by TLE and how friendly everyone is and how extremely clean it is! I was 6 months pregnant with my son the day that I toured TLE and signed the paperwork that week. When I walked out, I knew it was the right place. Ms. Stacey and Ms. Jami are two of the nicest, friendliest, patient, and flexible people I know. As I said before I signed the paperwork at 6 months pregnant to have my son start at 6 months old. My circumstances changed and I was able to keep my son home until he was 18 months. I kept calling Ms. Stacey and letting her know about the change in plans and she couldnt have been more understanding and accommodating. My son has been at TLE for 18 months now; he just had his 3rd birthday. He has been in 3 different rooms and has had about 8 different teachers. There hasnt been one teacher that he hasnt loved. I feel so comfortable leaving him with the teachers and staff and that is invaluable. Each day you get a sheet with what your child ate, the activities of the day, his/her mood, when he/she went to the bathroom and what sign language sign(s) they are working on. It is really helpful to talk to my son at the end of the day. Instead of saying "What did you do in school today?", I can say "What song did you sing with the smart board today?" or "How many apples did you use to make the red apple stamps during art?". It makes it much more interactive. If you live in the area and are in the market for a daycare, please do yourself a favor and stop in for a tour. It will be worth your time!!!
