I really enjoyed my time with Fred Astaire and learned a lot. However, I found their rules to be a little too restrictive and their business model too inflexible. My instructor was great, friendly, and fun but I felt we didnt really maximize or fully utilize the time of the 40 minutes lessons as best as we could. There was a lot of small talk and repetition in going over what I already knew and felt comfortable with -- going back to basics if you will. I felt this was somewhat unnecessary as I was taking weekly lessons. However, they were very patient with learning new, more difficult moves. I felt that they were overly strict in how one attends group lessons vs socials and when I tried to go back with my wife after being a customer for quite some time, they essentially told me that wed be required to work with separate instructors (more $$$ for them) and therefore they were not interested in us having us come in. This is a really great place with great people. I just think they need to relax their rules a little bit and be a little more welcoming of different scenarios. I understand that they are running a business (franchise) and that they have to set policies that would (hopefully) apply to all. But I also dont think my requests were unreasonable for someone who took lessons very regularly, always showed up with a smile and cheerful attitude, participated in many of their paid events and paid without any issues. I tried to go back and they essentially turned me away. While being part of this group is not cheap, it is fun and worthwhile despite its inflexibility.

Ive never been happier with any decision Ive made than the decision to take ballroom dance at Fred Astaire in Morristown. In a short time I felt like I was able to learn basics to dances I didnt know existed and use those basics to dance to music that I loved! Since I first went there Ive gone to multiple weddings and have gotten compliments every time about my new found dancing skills! The instructors there are amazing. Even the ones who arent working with you specifically always take the time to go out of their way and talk to you or help you with any questions or difficulties you may be having. Every friend who I have taken with me to the group parties has absolutely loved it and Ive met some amazing people as well. Its become something I look forward to every week.

I have come back to dance after a long hiatus... and am elated about my experience at Fred Astaire in Morristown! The teachers are talented, professional, full of personality and authentic! Ive been an ongoing customer of the studio since the beginning of 2014 and have enjoyed the experience of learning to dance. The instructors are always professional and very informative in helping to improve my dancing, whether it be rumba, tango, or my cuban motion. If youre looking for ballroom dance lessons in the area, I highly recommend this studio. Both Chelsea and Natalie are exceptional dance instructors.

From dancing like Elaine to competing in less that a year! Now Im starting my third year of lessons and still in love with my FADS family in Morristown. As with anything, you get out of it what you put into it. But they sure make it fun to go to the studio (and sweat!!!), easy to learn...and possible to grow as a dancer. I highly recommend the Fred Astaire Morristown studio. As a complete novice the instructors have helped me build confidence on the dance floor. Natalie is not only an excellent instructor but also one of the most sincerest people I have ever met. Her enthusiasm and talent has provided me a solid dancing foundation to build upon. To me, dancing HAD been my number one fear. Like many before me, I purchased one of the studios Groupon deals. I have been dancing for months now & Im so happy. All of the instructors are professional and approachable. My instructor is WONDERFUL!! She motivates me, makes dancing fun, shows great patience, & wants me to succeed. Chelsea, you are THE BEST.

Fred Astaire Morristown has become my second home after almost 4 years of taking lessons there. The staff and the life-long friends Ive made there are like family to me. The instructors are talented, energetic, positive and encouraging. They keep you moving, learning and having fun. I cant imagine my life without dance or without my FADS Morristown family.

The team at Fred Astaire is fantastic. A special shout out to Natalie and Joe who got my husband and I excited to learn ballroom dance. Ive been ballroom dancing at Fred Astaire Morristown Dance Studio for about a year. The dance instructors are awesome. They are patient, encouraging, and knowledgeable. Dont worry if you have two left feet. They will teach you the footwork even if you dont remember. I learned so much from them that I cant wait for my next lesson.
