I had come here about 10 times or so, was a decent hair cut most of the time. Recommended the place to some people who tried it out, too. The last time I was there, in the middle of my hair cut, the person who was cutting my hair shoved her hand in my face. She had written a message on it and showed it to me, very close to my face, waiting until I nodded to take it away. It was some religious proselytization message that I found incredibly out of place, rude, and disrespectful. Especially that she waited until the MIDDLE of my hair cut. I couldnt opt not to have her begin my hair cut, and I needed her to finish what she already started. It was bizarre and awkward in a setting like that. Not what I want when Im in the middle of a hair cut, or in a barbershop pretty much ever. They just lost a few repeat customers.

Just got my haircut and beard trimmed by the girl, sorry did not catch her name. She did a great job! Plus she trimmed my eyebrows and caught the rogue hairs everywhere else. Like my ears! Getting old stinks. Anyway would definitely go back. She is a great barber and did a really detailed nice job. Owner, Sasha?, could have been more friendly. He just sat in his chair and said nothing. When a new customer walks Into my business, I go out of my way to welcome them in. Anyway, job well done and Ill go back to the girl again. Ill also catch her name nextime.

This local proprietary has been my barber since I moved to Rockaway. The owner is very friendly and loves to start a conversation if you feel like it. He knows almost all the faces in town, and if he doesnt, hell try to get to know you! Youre like family to him!

I went to Rockaway Barber Shop with my son for the first time and Sasha did a great job.Beautiful fade .I was impressed with the attention to detail. I would recommend this place to all my friends. Both of them were very friendly. Great atmosphere.
