I recently celebrated my 60th birthday at The Washington Banquet & Catering hall and it was everything I had hoped for and more! I attended a friends 40th birthday there several years ago, and remember thinking that I would like to hold my 60th there. The staff there are as advertised; super friendly, professional and accommodating. Since I live out of town, most of the arrangements were coordinated remotely, but they made the entire process easy for me to coordinate. Since it had been 7-8 years since I last visited the property, I requested an advance visit to meet with the planners, go over the logistics of the party, as well as check out the venue. Not only did they agree to meet with me, Felicia and Carissa also scheduled a tour of the venue, a sit-down briefing to go over all of the services offered, as well as a one on one meeting with the in-house DJ, Brian, to further explain his service offerings. Brian not only offers DJ services, he also offers a series of lighting options for your event as well as a special photo booth option. The great thing about the Washington is, this is a "one stop shop!" In addition to the wonderful venue and catering services, they have in-house photography services, in-house DJ services and a local bakery they contract as part of their packaged services - which eliminates the need to seek these services elsewhere and makes the entire planning process more convenient! Felicia was very good at explaining each detail of the planning process. She made suggestions on how to improve the event while containing costs. This may seem like a minor detail, but can go a long way when you are trying to evaluate different options. Felicia was also very flexible in working out the schedule of activities for the event. Needless to say, everything came together seamlessly on the day of the event! As promised, the entire staff (everyone from the wait staff to management) were totally professional! The food was great, the music was fantastic and the ambiance was amazing! My family and guests are still raving about what a beautiful party it was and how great the food, music and ambiance was! Several of them are considering holding future events there as well. Felicia and Carissa, "THANK YOU!!!" for making my 60th birthday celebration a rousing success!!! I could not be happier with the outcome!!! The Washington is a hidden gem for sure! The inside is gorgeous, very clean and modern, both rooms can be transformed to fit whatever theme youre going for with your event.. But also looks classy and elegant enough as is, without any added decor, for events such as business meetings, classes, fundraisers, etc. Both rooms have their own entrances, bathrooms, and bar areas which is so nice when having a party! The Lincoln Ballroom is connected to an amazing additional room with a full size bar, and cocktail tables.. So you essentially get two rooms for the price of one! The Jefferson Ballroom has an overhead balcony area where photographers can go to get amazing photos of your event, or you can even have your DJ play up there which is something most places dont have! The staff are always friendly, helpful, and anticipate needs well. Their food is delicious. You should definitely take a tour here when planning your next event, you will be so happy you did!

Sojourn, our event coordinator/banquet manager was amazing to work with from start to finish. She came on board recently but she was on the ball with everything for our wedding. She answered all of my questions promptly and well and helped me prepare everything beforehand. During the event, anything I needed changed or help with Sojourn was there for me. Her and Christina (another coordinator) made sure that there was nothing left undone and checked on me multiple times during the day. They were there with water and food exactly when I needed it and they were just such a joy to work with. Lastly, the venue is beautiful and exactly what we needed for our big day. Our wedding was a bit unconventional but they catered everything to our needs, exactly as we wanted it. Many thanks to the whole team for making it so that our special day was truly amazing and not too stressful. I appreciate everything, it was a truly wonderful wedding!

Just went to a wedding here last weekend. I was absolutely horrified by the lack of service and organization. The wedding started over a half an hour late, no fault of the bridal party. The food was not ready, and the servers did not make their way around during cocktail hour properly. There were not enough seats for everyone at the ceremony OR the reception. I had to stand for over 20 minutes before i got a chair. My table alone had 10 people and only 7 place settings. The master seating chart at the front had the proper number of people at the table, so WHY wasn;t there enough chairs there as well? Someone was not doing their job. I wouldnt recommend this place to ANYONE who wants a hassle-free wedding. Worst Service....EVER.

We absolutely enjoyed having our baby shower at the Washington! The venue, the staff, and the food was amazing! We are still receiving comments from our guests on how much they enjoyed the baby shower, and especially how much they loved the food! Carissa, Shannon, and the entire team made the whole planning process stress-free. Their help with the décor not only looked amazing but also saved us a lot because we didn’t have to buy things separately or hire a decorator. It was nice that they didn’t nickel and dime us for the little additions that most banquet facilities probably would do. They were easy to work with and we will definately be recommending The Washington to family and friends!

After having an amazing wedding reception at The Washington in June of 2015, we knew it would be the perfect place to host my dads surprise 60th birthday party this past December. Carissa and the staff at The Washington truly take care of their customers! We came to them with ideas for a theme, and they brought it to life, exceeding all expectations! Our cocktail party had amazing food and stations, especially the prime rib! The staff is extremely friendly and eager to serve you in whatever way possible. Whether you are looking to host a big wedding like I did (280 people) or another celebration like my dads birthday party, The Washington is THE PLACE!

Ambassador Christian Academy held their annual Scholarship Fundraising dinner at The Washington in November. The staff was exceptional. We had traditionally held the event at the school, which had become very stressful. It was refreshing to have Carissa and Shannon step in and just take care of the event from soup to nuts. We are looking forward to having another event there in Dec 2016. This is a team that is driven by excellent customer service. We would highly recommend this venue.

So I had a wedding planned for this place. Contract signed. Didnt receive no notice that the person I signed the contract with was no longer there and that my contract was not going to be honored. Not only did I have 60 days to find another vendor but I had to hire new people for some of the things that where included in my contract. Very an organized lack of communication and very poor customer service. Would not recommend this place. Great appearance but not good staff.
