I’ve been a customer of A&W Auto Repair for the past 4 years and would not trust going anywhere else given the exceptional service that they provide. I drive 4 hours round-trip, all the way from Long Island, to have my car serviced by this wonderful team. Every time I come into the shop I am welcomed by the mother-daughter receptionist duo who always ask how my family and I are doing, ask me if I want coffee/tea, etc. — they really know how to make a customer feel welcome and appreciated. The owner and the mechanics know what theyre doing, and they do it well. I purchased my used Subaru from them about three years ago, and its only now that I need to get something repaired. Three years without a hint of a problem – pretty rare. Being out in Long Island, I couldnt afford to tow my car the two-hour drive to A&W. When I asked the owner his advice, he offered to drive all the way to my home and tow the car himself. He made the 4-hour trip on a Saturday night just to help me, no charge. These are the types of people who truly care about their customers and will go out of their way to help anyone.

Bought a second hand Subaru Outback from these guys, with a lot of miles on it. They had bought it from auction, and fixed it up. Was a fair price, but all parties realized a high mileage car comes with some risks. Bought it as is, with a well defined warranty package for the engine. After I had paid for the car and drove it away, I realized the car stereo didnt work. Took a couples days for me to bring it in. Waldek dropped what he was doing, and spent a couple hours figuring out what the source of problem was. Then spent a few days sourcing a replacement amplifier, which he installed. There was no talk of extra money, although we were truly in a grey area, and I wouldnt be surprised by other shops to insist I pay for labor and replacement parts. He got it working, and sent me on my way. I really appreciate people who take pride in their work and their service, like the folks at A&W.

DO NOT GO THERE ! Do not use this shop for your car service no matter what your cars issue is... They charge like crazy! They charge more than your car dealership would. The polish guy Waldek is out of his mind. He will not only overcharge you but will lie to you. They charged me for 1 hour of labor for putting a new battery to my car; when it usually takes 5 minutes to put it in. The next time, they charged me over $200 more than the Subaru dealer was going to charge me for a exhaust pipe replacement. The Subaru quoted me $320 and he charged me $520 plus tax. Im telling you, they are thieves! Do not go there! There are plenty of other shops around. I even heard that his friends from Monroe NY dont use him any more. He lost lot of friends the last 5 years for what hes doing. If you want to pay normal labor prices, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP ! Erck V.

The best mechanic i have ever used.... Ive been using Waldek over 10 years and he is the fairest, most honest, professional specialist in New York State... not just Orange county..... bottom line i trust a&w and that alone is the reason why i drive over an hour to get my repairs and maintenance done. I live in Yonkers NY. Honesty and integrity in this industry is almost impossible to find and I found it at A&W auto in Goshen NY.

A&W has been one of the best shops that I have ever taken my car to. Waldec is very thorough and explains everything that needs to get done. A&W was able to diagnos and repair a faulty valve in one of my cylinders when the Subaru dealership in Westchester had all but given up and wanted to replace my engine, of course I was well past my warranty and it wouldve could me thousands. Glad I found A&W.

I got 4 tires from this shop and the same day I got the tires I had a blowout on the interstate.... Now Im a pretty reasonable person, although it put me in a bind I wasnt mad... Well here I am less than7 days away from the first blowout I just had another damn blowout..... Not to mention its late night not 1 tire shop is open and Im 45mins away from home.... What an inconvenience!!!!!!
