Recently when I was looking to replace a lock on the front door of my co-op, I went into the Key Star Locksmith shop just down the road from my place to discuss my needs with Dimitrio, and upon reviewing my needs, I decided to order and have him install a new schlage electronic deadbolt lock. The service I received was EXCELLENT! everything from answering all my pre-sale questions, to key duplication, and installation time were addressed concisely and to my schedule. When Dimitrio came to install my lock, he took care to ensure the least amount of mess would occur due to some drilling that was necessary, and after installation, was meticulous in cleaning up and ensuring he left my place the same way he entered it. The time taken to fully explain and set up the combination process to my partner and I was much appreciated, and he ensured we had a full understanding of how everything works so we could easily change codes again in the future if we needed to, and assured us as living in the local community, he would be here for us if needed. Im quite pleased with my purchase and the service I received from Key Star Locksmith, & would highly recommend them for your locksmith needs. Definitely 5 + stars for key star locksmith. I got locked out of my house. I called the first locksmith I found on google and asked how much it will cost me to get back in my house. Guy at phone said it will be $15.00 service call + 35 to unlock door which I thought it was a very good deal. Technician came and said it will be $150.00 to drill out lock b/c this lock was not the one they advertise as 35.00 then I was going to pay extra 200.00 dollars for my lock replace b/c I need it to lock door, of course I didnt agree and send the guy back. Then a friend of mine told me about KEY STAR LOCKSMITH and gave them a call. They send the tech right away and in less than five min. He was able to Unlock my door with no damage and charge me very reasonable. Thank you key star I will recommend you to my friends if they need a locksmith service. Beware of those companies who tell you a very cheap price. Too good to be true. Bunch of thieves.

I lost my cars switchblade key fob (the fob + a foldout ignition key). The Volkswagen dealer wanted $300 to replace it. Key Star replaced it for 175 + tax. The gentleman who helped us, from Mexico City, was helpful, extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. He knew exactly what he was doing and worked efficiently and quickly. When he was finished, he made sure everything functioned before sending us off. He was a pleasure to work with. I have a tendency of only rating restaurants, but Key Star was such a wonderful experience, and saved us so much money, that I felt moved to write this review. Great service, great prices, knowledgeable and friendly workers. Im really glad we found this place.

I use Key Star Locksmith to make all my copies of keys, which they do quickly (10 mins for 9 keys) and well crafted. I also used their services for installing a new lock into my home (Smart Lock). Willie showed up on time, even giving me a five minute warning so that I could get ready for him to come. He worked quick, but with purpose and everything was installed perfectly and was washed as you would expect from a master locksmith. He also made certain that everything worked correctly (including the Smart Lock) before he cleaned up and left. All in all, five star service. Would recommend them to anyone I know that needs keys made or locks installed.

Willie and Dimitri were fantastic. I lost the keys to my Lexus and was looking for a locksmith that could quickly Help me with a new pair of keys. It was over the weekend and they were very responsive. they were able to get to me within hours and able to get me a new key and paired to my car. They were very reasonably priced, both Willie and Dimitri you were courteous and very professional. I referred them to my dad as well as he unfortunately lost the keys to his car to. I gave them five stars because they were so fantastic, responsive and as I said very understanding and reasonably priced. Thank you for a great job!

As a NYC police officer I highly recommend key star locksmith. They understand the importance of security and the urgency of being there when there needs to be an install, fix, or repair. When I called to get an installation, it was not only cold but it was also snowing. Snow or cold it didnt matter to Key star locksmith. They were there to get the job done, and get the job done well. I lost my my car keys. It was like 8pm. I badly needed to use my car the next day. My mechanic Noynoy told me about key star locksmith. When I called the number, Willie answered the call and said definitely he can help me. He asked the car information and he gave me the time he will be on site. I needed another key/fob for my keyless entry 2012 Camry. Demetrio always answered the phone, gave me excellent advice, information and pricing. I called ahead, as suggested, for the programming. He did the work quickly, checked my existing fobs and cut the new emergency key all for way less than if I had dealt with the Toyota dealer. I bought my extra fob on line this time, but in the future I would buy it here, let them do it all and save even more money. Will definitely recommend to my friends!

I moved into a new home and needed a smart lock installed with two re-keys. If you are like me, you are searching for a quality locksmith at a reasonable price. Dont even waste your time looking elsewhere!!! Demitry was very knowledgeable about installing the smart lock and waited every step to make sure that my phone synched properly. Also, he fixed the original set-ups of the locks and made sure that I was happy with the feel (wasnt just rushing to the next job). I highly recommend Key Star!

I was fortunate to find these guys. I passed their shop on Northern Blvd many times so I knew they have been in the area for a long time. Recently, I had an emergency regarding my Volkswagen Passat key. The one I had was suddenly out of commission. The staff was able to cut a new key & reprogram the transponder chip.They went out of their way to accommodate me. The price was less then I expected and the over-all service was terrific! I would highly recommend using their service

Based on my own experience, I highly recommend key star locksmith. I was locked out my house by accident and Willie was really helpful. He was very nice, patient and professional, he opened the door for me like a pro. When he saw my lock was a little bit loose, he even did the extra work to tighten it without charging me any extra. Their price is also very reasonable and I will definitely use their service again and recommend to all my friends as well.
