I used to eat there daily as I recently started working in the area. Out of my 10 first visits Id say they got my order right once. Now, I never go there any more unless co-workers con me into it like this morning. As is standard, I waited a minimum of 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge me (gossiping is apparently more important). Finally, i get helped and guess what, wrong order... Again!!!! Its absurd how much the employees care about gossip over helping waiting customers. I ask for my money back and I got "Im sorry, youll have to wait while I finish with other customers" and an attitude. Honestly I hate this place more than any deli could possibly warrant. Slow, inattentive employees who ignore then treat you like your second rate... unless your a "friend". Yes, Ive seen favoritism here a lot as well. Im not even kidding when I say I have waited so long that I had to return to work before my order came out.... and no other customers were even present. Overpriced (by a massive margin) to boot. F this place... seriously.

I was very excited to visit Sexy Salad as I heard only good things about it. It is located in an industrial complex in Hauppague and a little hard to find. I must have caught them on a bad day because they were installing some heavy duty furniture for their renovation and did not have their full menu available. I really wanted to build my own salad but was unable to so I had to order off the menu. I ordered a southwest salad expecting them to make it fresh but they took a prepacked one from the case and mixed in the dressing. The salad itself was nothing special. It had lettuce, tomato, black beans, corn, and chicken but the dressing was bland and there was no particular ingredient(s) that screamed "southwest". To their credit, the staff was very friendly and the other customers did remark that the store/menu are normally different/better so I might give them another chance at some point down the road.

This place is good, but overpriced for what it is, and could be better with just a couple minor improvements: For one- maybe a frequent customer card that gives you your 10th salad free or at least discounted. Also I have a big problem with the "make your own" salads- you should just have bowls of JUST lettuce or spinach and let US pick which ingredients we want, rather than a full salad that we are adding additional ingredients to. Now I have to pick jalapeno peppers and other crap out of my salad that I dont want. It would be cool if you could do this with the panninis too- have different types of bread and let us pick what we want in them. people would LOVE that. Check out Hale and Hearty Soups in the city- they have a salad station like that and the line is always ridiculous because that is what people want- personalized food!

Terrible customer service and gross food. The people are always miserable, the lettuce is always dirty and the owner is a dumbass. They are not accommodating when it comes to customizing your own salad because they are all premade and old and nasty. Today the owner tried to tell me they had one button for a spinach salad so he was unable to make me a small one. I used to work in a restaurant and youre supposed to tell the customers you can do whatever they ask as long as they have the ingredients. This guy must be an idiot because apparently he doesnt know you can manually type in a price in the system or hit a button of equal value to what someone ordered. He also cursed back at me on the phone, real professional. So over this place!

this place is so overpriced its crazy ive been working in Manhattan for years and been getting salads for a long time. ive never paid over $11/12 there for a quality salad. i went here and not only do the have like a quarter of the side options that i had in the city, but i got avocado and chicken and the salad cost me almost $15, and thats just crazy. i had lunch at the really nice restaurant next door and had an awesome salad for $17. its almost worth doing that instead. For a long island salad place to cost more then it does in the city is ridiculous

This place is definitely expensive but apparently that doesnt deter enough people away. They are doing something right. They recently expanded their restaurant to include a sit down area. Everyone there is very kind and provide text book service. They are often overly and cheesily happy to serve you but I am not complaining about that. The food is really good too. I guess they could put more chicken in the $8.00 salad though. I go there once in a while only due to its high price tag items.

Dont eat at this establishment!! My company at least spends $12.00 a day per person every day. Sometimes more then that for lunch which I feel like that they have some nerve charging the prices they charge. My Boss had a live bug (Big Black Beetle) in his Salad today which understandably Grossed everyone out. We all did not want to eat our food which is Justified. The owner Johns response to this was "It happens and Im not refunding you anything" He obviously doesnt value his customers.

Shame that there are a handful of 1 star reviews...many that seem to be from the same "anonymous" person. Ive gone to this place on and off for years and have never been disappointed in the food or the service. John is the quintessential small businessman that obviously takes pride in what he does and wants his customers to be happy. Unfortunately, some of the comments here suggest that some people cant be pleased under any circumstance.

I really do like this place but I hate that I pay near $10 for a salad and they forget 3 out of the 6 ingredients you ask for! Im really frustrated and hope they are more mindful in the future otherwise I will be looking for a new daily lunch place for my co-workers and myself! This is not the first time they have forgotten something but it is the first time that Ive only received half of what I asked for. SMH.

I eat here at least once or twice a week. Service is efficient, salads are fresh and you can build your own or pick up the pre-made in small or large sizes. The soups are homemade and good and iced teas/coffee also fresh brewed. I love their baked goods as well but try to resist. You can go next door for five bucks and get mediocre pizza or eat here for 10 bucks and really enjoy your healthier meal.

Found this by accident looking for an address in the Hauppauge Industrial Park. Grabbed a pre-made Southwest Salad and took it to go, but the place was efficient, friendly and the food was good. Plus, I think I saw you guys last night at the Taste of Long Island event to benefit Island Harvest. Great charity to support!

Started my new job this week, and wanted to find a goto place for lunch. I had the roast beef philly sandwhich, which was freshly made and absolutely delicious. The staff was very polite and respectful. And the prices are your average prices for stuff like that. Great experience overall.
