Ive had my hair cut three times at this place, and already its the best barber shop I know: After you go into the big Citi building and walk down a short flight of stairs, youll find yourself in a small but polished venue where Yuri, Sal and Benny will be prepared to work (or already working.) Itll be clear, even if you know nothing about their profession, that their expertise in hair is the real thing. Theyll know what you want better than you will, and even if you describe your preferred style in awkward ambiguity theyll pick up on every word. Theyll style your hair until its crisp and clean as can be, and even give general tips on how to preserve your style. I say all this only having been styled by Yuri, but having seen Benny and Sal do their work and reading these on-point reviews, I think my generalization of them is a safe one. When you visit them, be sure to remember their names, because they sure as hell wont forget yours.

Ive been to Sal and Yuris barber shop three times now after being disappointed with the cuts from closer barber shops. While their shop is a little farther, Ive enjoyed the experience each time. My recent experience was as expected. Yuri -- I believe hes the one who cut my hair this time -- remembered exactly how I like my hair, even though I last visited nearly two months ago. Funny and relaxed, he ensured that I had a pleasant experience while cutting and treating my hair with talented precision. At the end, I was treated to a soothing towel massage for my scalp, or as Yuri said, "the best part." I was a little late to work as a result, but my lateness was well worth the awesome cut and the superb experience. I highly recommend these guys.

The shop itself is a little hard to find. You need to go into the courtyard of the big banking building, and then go down an escalator. Its below street level. Best haircut Ive ever had. Great bunch of guys. Benny (I think) cut my hair, it was amazing to watch him work. Very reasonably priced. Wish there was a barber like this in Melbourne where I live. I guess the competition is super tough in New York, and the best float to the top. I went there because it was close to my hotel, and the Google reviews were so excellent... and they are accurate. Serendipitous for me. A great New York experience. Thanks guys. First class.

Sal and Yuri are friendly, accommodating guys. They are affordable, and consistent. Their talents, flexibility, consistency, and welcoming demeanor is what keeps them in business, and has helped them grow so much. Hot shaves, fades, tapers/tape ups, clean ups - everything is great. Yuri and Sal are great. Ive used around 10 barbers over the past few years and theres honestly none Ive gone back to as regularly as I have with these guys. Theyre always friendly and upbeat, the pricing is fair, and theyre kind and make an effort to remember your name and your preferred hairstyle. Their haircuts are great, too. Ive been going to these guys for a few months now and Im sure Ill continue going for a long time to come.

Yuri is the MAN! Ive followed him from Yonkers and now to LIC. He has been my barber for the past 7yrs and its even better going to him now. This barbershop is so clean and new. The service there is impeccable. If you work near by, you need to stop in and get a fresh cut. Their prices are great, the service is great, and your haircut will be the best cut you ever get!!! I highly recommend them!

Just finished my third haircut here this afternoon. One previous with Yuri, one with Arthur and this time again with Yuri. Would go back to either of the guys again as everyone in the shop is polite, professional and talented. I consider this place a hidden gem of Long Island City - no plans to go anywhere but here for a haircut any time soon. They do an excellent job at a great value.

The barbers are the best in the neighborhood. They automatically recognize you even if you havent gone to them for months! Theyre kind and generous and want to give the highest satisfaction to you, the customer. You will not feel alienated when you come here so there isnt a need to worry at all. Id definitely recommend this place to anyone who has trouble finding a good barber.

A great place to to get a haircut. If you are looking for a 0 or 1 clip style high fade, these guys are awesome, and meticulous. They will use multiple clippers and scissors to get it right. Secondly, you get a good shave. The price is very good for everything. Lastly, just extremely courteous and friendly service. I highly recommend them. You wont go wrong.

These guys Sal and Yuri (the babrbers) can make you look like a MILLION BUCKS!!! I was visiting a friend in Queens and needed a spontaneous haircut. Now I must say, I DONT USUALLY go outside my regular barber but this was an EMERGENCY. Needless to say I was NOT disappointed! In fact, it also has to be one of the friendliest barbershops Ive ever come across.

Exceptional. I was there earlier this morning (first time) and was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was extremely friendly and accommodating. Benny was my barber and was detailed and meticulous. I honestly think this may be one of the best haircuts Ive ever had. And for only $16 its a steal. Cant recommend this place enough. Total gem.

I have been coming to the shop since the new management took over. Very big and clean space. My haircut is perfect every time I stop by and you cant beat the price. Right near the train, too, so getting there is convenient. If you are looking for a great haircut, you will not be disappointed.

Best cut and great guys at LIC. Sal has been cutting my hair for 5 years. Even after I moved out of the city, and Sal moved to LIC, I still make the trip from Jersey. I dont let anyone else touch my hair (if I can avoid it). Do yourself a favor and become a regular. You wont regret it.

Followed my barbers here from Midtown to LIC. Come here if youre looking to be taken care of and get a great. Walk-in, get a cut, shave, and hot towel finish all for a good price. There are tons of barbershops by me but I make the trip each time I need a touch up for the quality.

LIC Barbershop is a hidden GEM, all the Google reviews are so right. Yuri is the man, meticulously precise, super friendly and an amazing barber. Im in after my first haircut. Oh and did I forget to mention their haircuts are $16.00. Go there NOW you will not be disappointed!

Sal & Yuri are always friendly, on top of that they give AWESOME cuts. I have never walked out thinking "this is too short" or "I wish I told him to do X". The guys know what best suits you.... The shop is always bright and clean. Well worth a visit.
