The only reason Im giving them 1 star is because the site doesnt allow me to proceed unless I do. They deserve 0 stars. Went in today to get my squeaky brakes checked. Took my car there because theyd replaced my shoes several years ago and Midas claims they have a lifetime warranty. After waiting 2+ hours, a technician tells me I need front and rear shoes and rotors. The cost: may short of $800. When I inquired about what my lifetime warranty covers, Im told they cant find me in their system. Interestingly, they found me in their system when I first checked in. The manager said that if the car had been serviced there for brakes, it would have appeared on their warranty site. Clearly, however, that is not the case. I asked if they didnt think it was odd that I was in their system for one thing but not the other and got shrugs and eye-avoidance in response. Lesson learned: keep your receipt when these guys fix your car. Feeling like I was being scammed, I drove 2 minutes away to Pep Boys and asked them to check my brakes. I shared the Midas diagnosis with them and, upon checking, they assured me my problem was limited to my front brakes. I asked if they were certain and a manager reassured me that only the front brakes required attention. Midas committed the dual sins of attempting to rip me off and having no explanation for their inability to find my warranty information in their system. Bottom line: they cant be trusted in more ways than one. I saved over $400 by getting a second opinion. Needless to say, Im never going back to this Midas location and would recommend that, if you do, you make sure to keep your receipt for the rest of your life.

Went there for state inspection. They told me that my car needs front break pads. I was surprised because day before I went to my dealer for oil change and state inspection, which they could not do because of their broken machine and they did mention that my car needed break pads after courtesy meticulous inspection. Dealer’s multipoint inspection sheet indicated that my break pads are less than half way through. I guess it is dealer’s word against Midas’s word. But I’m sure dealer would not pass on this job if my car needed pads and release me in unsafe vehicle. Not wanting to pay for failed state inspection, I went with replacement. Midas charged me $99.99 for Centric ceramic front pads only! + $106 for labor. I think I got the DEAL OF a LIFETIME here as such break pads cost no more than $30 all over the internet. I still could have done good mileage on these break pads. Rip off and scam. Will not go there again!

Despite my specific instruction not to replace my windshield wiper blades because I already have my own, and I am more than capable of doing that myself (as every human is) they went ahead and replaced them and charged me 53.00. Despite telling them not to test the battery because the starting issue that I was having was quite obviously not the battery, (the engine is turning over like a champ, but there seems to be no ignition- perhaps the fuel pump or an electrical problem to the spark plugs is to blame) they did so, and found no problem... Like I said, oh and charged me for it. They did do an oil change as I requested. Not at all impressed. They will take your money however possible, and now I have a vehicle with a fresh oil change, in my driveway that wont start. Also, The extremely overweight guy behind the counter was rude the entire time, and responsible for the lies.

Took my 2013 Kia for wheel alignment. While they did the alignment, they said that it cannot be properly adjusted due to manufactuers limitations; therefore front right wheel is not properly aligned. I never heard of that before. I had the wheel alignment done before at sears auto which is closed now and I never had a problem before. So the issue Im having is when I drive, it pulls to the right. Im surprised that they have such good reviews. One thing I must give them is they were not trying to suggest additional repairs/service maintenance like many other shops do just to make extra money

I had to bring my car back 3 times within a month because of things not being fixed. Each time I was told everything was fine, yet my car was still shaking. The second and third time I wasnt charged for the work because they knew it was there mistake. The third time I dropped off the car at 8am and was told they would call me to let me know the problem. I got out of work at 5pm and called them to find out they were already closed for the day. The employees were rude and just out to try and make more money off of me.

I had that dreaded Trouble Code - P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 1). They diagnose and found that I had serval exhaust leaks and a bad catalyst seal. They fix all the leaks reset the ECM. I ran the car to reset the monitor and pass my NY Satae Inspection. Thank you Rob and Jack and of course all the guys so much for saving me a ton of money... PS: another shop did the flex pipe that cause some of the problems.

Dont believe ANY of the negative reviews on this page. Rob and Jack are two of the fairest, most straight-forward guys Ive ever met at an auto repair place. Not only did they help me diagnose a serious problem with my Kia, they helped repair it at a VERY low cost and did an amazing job. Their expertise (and that of Cornel, top mechanic!) saved me probably $600. I highly recommend this Midas to anyone needing car or wheel service.

Informative and good service, but they installed the filter and cap incorrectly after an oil change and when I drove off it spewed oil all over my engine compartment and everything else under the hood. I was a minute from having my engine seize when the mechanic came running after me down the street yelling to turn it off. They put a new filter on, and cleaned it up, but an oil change here almost killed my car.

I came here for my car inspection on 9/1/2015 and I was taken care of very well not only by the gentleman at the counter but also the staff of mechanics. We talked, joked and they were genuine guys. I will definitely be coming back to this location for all my future repairs, they make this place feel like a 2nd home and will take care of your vehicle as if its theirs.

Ive only been to this location once but the service was good and quick. Everyone was friendly, any and all questions I asked were answered. The only difficult part was finding a place to park nearby till they had time to look at the car. Im not sure how the prices compare to a local no name shop but Id rather pay that extra bit for the assurance.
