Passing through Rochester on a multi-city trip, I was in need of a hair cut prior to an important week of outreach events in NYC with leaders from industry and government, as well as fellow Flag and General Officers. My son found Jurs via a Google search Saturday morning and off we went. For those who are In a committed barber-customer relationship [you know who you are and what that means] seeing an unknown barber in an unknown city is a high-risk operation. Jurs was a welcoming environment with the look and feel of a traditional barbershop. The staffed seemed to move through their work with all due care, but the line moved along quickly. My son and I sat down in random chairs, and both gentleman took the time to be clear about what we wanted. In my case, I needed a two-week trim and cleanup. My son chose a more substantial shift. In each case our barber delivered on exactly what we asked. And the conversation with both the barber and other clients made it the kind of experience I would have expected sitting in my regular chair back with my barber of many years. While the odds are extremely low Ill ever be in Rochester again in need of a haircut, I know where Ill look first. Thanks Gents!

So much done wrong Im honestly astonished. Asked for a fade, its just not there. Asked to leave it long on the top but she forgot when she got to the side without the part. My beard isnt even, and when I let her know she somehow started trimming the shorter side. My neck has some untrimmed patches left under my beard. The lines arent straight. When I thought she was done she starts spraying something in my hair THEN asks if I want product. I hate product, why wouldnt you ask first? Uneven, no straight lines, and shaped where I didnt want to be shaped. So much wrong that I couldnt bear asking her to try to fix it. On top of all this its expensive. Maybe you will have a better experience, but I will never get a cut here again. Might as well go to SuperCuts.

Got a great cut, they went above and beyond! John, Tim and Mike are true professionals with years of experience. They are personable and shop looks great, the big screen TV is an added bonus. You will not be disappointed. I found out this was where my old "regular barber" went to get his haircut and had to start going, you cant beat that! They also offer a great line of hair care products that will match or beat anything you will find in the stores. The owner created his own propriety blend which is amazing. They care about hair and each customers satisfaction. Check this place out!

Hands down Jurs Barbershop is the place to get a haircut. I 100% recommend this place if you have not gone here before. Tim was my barber and did an amazing job. He took his time and asked what I wanted and made sure I was 100% satisfied with my haircut before getting out of that chair. So thank you for that Tim...! Jurs Barbershop is very clean and very friendly. I highly recommend Jurs Barbershop on there professionalism, high standards of barbers, and the true meaning of a Barbershop! I bought haircuts there twice. Both were satisfactory. However, I went 2 other times, both on Wednesday (last date was 2/5/2014), at 8:45 AM. They were closed both times. They advertise their hours starting at 8:30 AM. Clearly, they are not serious about this, causing much inconvenience if you have to drive far or were planning to do other chores while out. I recommend you call ahead to see if they are open. Better, find a more reliable shop.

Jurs Barbershop has given me the best haircut I have ever had. Every barber is extremely professional and damn good at what they do. I will not go anywhere else, because no other place compares. I have bought Jurs new product line "Luxx" for men. Outstanding product that is made in the USA and great for your hair. If you get a less than perfect cut stop going to that establishment and get to Jurs Barbershop.

Would not recommend this place to ANYONE, the new barbers cant do a simple fade with a taper in the back with trim on top. First off doesnt even taper the back, second I had to ask the guy a second time to trim the top he did so only with a disgruntled attitude, and third doesnt have a credit card machine not even Square, come on its almost 2017.

My two year old son is not the easiest child to get to cooperate with. I always get really nervous when its time for his haircut. The guys at Jurs Barbershop are extremely patient and understanding. I leave there feeling a sense of relief and better yet my sons hair looks amazing!! I recommend them to anyone with small children.

They do a great job cutting little boys hair! Weve brought our 4 year old twin boys here and weve been very pleased! Its hard to find a place that honestly does a good job cutting little boys hair but this place is wonderful! Its comfortable, friendly, and the boys hair always turns out good!

i have been to jurs barber shop a few times now i have been getting my hair cut by Brandon kessler and i can finaly say i have found my barber very consistent haircuts and he does exactly what i ask couldnt ask for a better experience highly recommend Brandon ...great job !!!!

Amazing place. Definitely will be a returning customer. Took great care of us. Brought my two year old in for a special cut I wasnt able to find anyone local to do because it involved a straight razor. John not only did it, but did a great job. New customers for life.

Jures barbershop is such a bad place to go to if its your first time getting a haircut there. They only take time on the people they know personally and they rush if youre just a random person. Do not go here, unless you want to be disappointed. I do not recommend

These guys are good. Customer for 10+ years and no bad cuts. My wife only lets me and my son go here because we never have crooked lines or have any other issues. You might have to wait in line for a cut but what does that tell you...lots of repeat customers!

Usually my first choice when I need a haircut. The barber who cuts my hair is very friendly and gives me awesome cuts every time. They also started their own product line, so theyre actually branching out and branding themselves. Highly recommend.

Went to school in Rochester for 5 years and for most of it I got my haircut at Jurs. Consistently did an excellent job and they were always able to cut the styles I wanted. It was a bit of a drive from school but worth it for a quality cut.

I moved to gates a couple years ago and I have been traveling back to irondequoit to get my hair cut. I finally found these guys today. Im so happy I dont have to travel so far for a great fade. I think Im finally a west sider now.
