Our family has trusted the Harris family for over 20 years when it was time to say goodbye to a loved one. There is no one I would recommend above them- I have been to several local Funeral Homes, and there is none like the Harris Funeral Home. The gentle kindness, the warm - but professional - demeanor, and the empathy shown by the family from the first point of contact to the last... these are all things that make a big difference in the grieving process. Our family has never felt like we were "doing business" with the Harris family, but rather that they were helping us to get thru a change that never quite gets easier [despite how many times you go thru it]. Regardless of whether the loss was sudden, or the life was long-lived and celebrated, the Harris family remains consistent in what they provide - a place you can feel comfortable and at peace. The Family Center is a resource that has been critical in helping to bring our family and friends together after the service; to walk across a parking lot to a home-like atmosphere has made a big difference in the ease of bringing people together, and the feelings that people leave with. The Family Center provides a place where everyone feels welcome to join the family and it transforms the experience- while there are often tears at the service, there is laughter at the reception and you feel that you are celebrating a life lived, instead of mourning a lost life. With the deepest gratitude, I thank the Harris family. There will never be enough words to truly express my appreciation.

The Harris Family took care of my Dad in September of 1999 and my Mom in July 2011. Losing a loved one is devastating but my experience with Rick and his sons Michael and Rick made it much less painful and difficult. They are thoughtful, caring, compassionate, and kind. They take care of everything with dignity and class. And with a smile which makes things better when you are going through a sad time. I also had the experience of preplanning my Moms Funeral with young Rick and he helped make that process less stressful and difficult to do. Some day I will have to do that for myself and I am glad that they will be taking care of me. During the Christmas Season they have a beautiful Service for the families who have lost loved ones during the year. It is so comforting. Each family receives an angel with their loved ones name, date of birth and date of death. I have never seen a more professional and beautiful Funeral Home than the Harris Funeral Home. I am so proud that they took care of my parents.

Words can not describe the expertise, professionalism and comfort that my family and I have received with Paul W. Harris Funeral Home. As devastating as it was with three immediate family members (with-in a 2 year span) and countless other family and friends through the years, whom also have used Paul W. Harris Funeral Home, it was comforting to know everything was taken care of and to heart, as if it were their own family members, which meant so much.There was not one detail missed. They were there from start to finish and never hesitated to get what you needed and never left your side. They were always a call away. With a huge Ukrainian Community, all have also graciously volunteered in the community, as at the festivals and other events, and learned the rituals of a Ukrainian funeral so not one detail goes unnoticed. I wish I could give 100 more stars! Harris Funeral Home was incredible during a very difficult time. They are extremely professional, and calming at a time of great sadness. Rick Jr. handled all of my fathers arrangements and went out of his way to make sure that every single detail was perfect from the beginning and continued to do so after the funeral was over. From handling flowers, the obituary, guest books, contacting the church, the veterans, picture slide show, following through with all our requests, and the catered reception to follow, I cannot say enough good things. Also, having a reception room with catering available was a HUGE help to us. The food was incredible and everything was taken care of for us. A loving thank you to Harris and we will ALWAYS use you in the future.

I have been to three family funerals at Paul W. Harris Funeral Home. The experience has always been wonderful- as wonderful as a funeral could be. The staff has always been very professional. They are compassionate people and they also care about the local community. They are very involved with volunteering for the St. Josaphats Ukrainian Festival and other local non-profits. They are animal lovers who go above and beyond for all pet lovers suffering a loss with their Pets at Peace division. They are ethical, caring, and always listen to what you need for your specific memorial. I highly recommend Harris Funeral Home.

It sounds a little silly, especially to non pet owners.. but they pet services are fantastic. You are treated with the same level of respect as someone who is planning a humans funeral here. They are always kind and sympathetic even if you are not visibly upset. Ive cremated a few pets here using their services and its well worth it.

All was well done. Mr. Michael (Mike) Harris is such a professional business person. Our mom (mother-in-law) looked stunning in her 97th year.
