The past two weeks have been devastating for my family as we suffered the unexpected loss of my cousin Joel. With our hearts broken and heads in a fog we turned to Mountcastle Turch to handle all of the arrangements. I cannot begin to describe what their service has meant to us; to say above and beyond would not do them justice. They treated us as if we were family, with compassion and love. The Celebration of Life was held on a Saturday and knowing how many people we expected from near and far, they generously accommodated us by extending their operating hours. The attention to detail with all of the memorial keepsakes (memorial video, picture collages, canvas photo, tapestry photo collage, photo signing board, the list goes on and on) was unlike anything I had ever seen. Given my cousins love of motorcycles, they provided us the opportunity to give him his final ride before his eternal rest, in a custom built Harley Hearse. With motorcade of at least 150 cars, they even made arrangements with the Sheriffs department to provide us an escort from Holy Family Catholic Church to Stonewall Memory Gardens (20+ miles). We are forever grateful to Gary Maxwell, Shirley Suggs, Matthew, April, Nancy and the rest of the staff.

My father passed away in another state and I needed to bring him home to be laid to rest, so I had the rare, while not coveted, opportunity to compare funeral homes, having never dealt with one before. The first funeral home in the other state was unresponsive, shockingly difficult in consideration of our needs to bring Dad home, and flippant--literally making mortuary jokes in our phone calls--they were a nightmare! Conversely, I called Mountcastle Turch to manage the local details. Mr. Turch and his entire staff handled every aspect, starting from my initial call, with professionalism, kindness, and respect, making frequent updates, providing helpful information for each critical step, and handling details neglected by the other funeral home. The setting is spacious, clean, and welcoming. While no one looks forward to such an occasion as the funeral of a loved one, should the occasion arise, make Mountcastle Turch your first call.

I used them in August for my Mother and once again in December for my Father. We have used Leslie to help us with the services and she has been nothing but professional and compassionate during both processes. Price is no issue for them and it is all listed. They have two types of Hearses for use one the classic style hearse, and the other a Trike for those who are motorcycle enthusiasts. Their staff is always professional to every one who shows up if you look like your standing around they will always ask if you need even if you have already been helped. I could not recommend them more.

Despite the fact that planning, organizing, attending etc. anything to do with a funeral is in its essence a very sad and depressing affair, Mountcastle helped my family get through this time with no stress. Gary was kind and helpful throughout the process and very patient with my family who had to fly in from 3 different states. I sincerely appreciate Gary and the staff at Mountcastle. They made this horrible time in our lives an opportunity for us as a family to get together and celebrate my fathers life.

I have to commend Gary and his Staff for the Life Celebration/send off that they prepared for mother Judy M on May 1st. His attention to details and the caring they demonstrated at such a stressful and sorrowful time was simply amazing and greatly appreciated. Thank you all very much.

Mountcastle Turch Funeral Home on Dale Boulevard was there for me & my family by providing an excellent funeral and burial experience for both my parents, Martin & Frances Whalen, yesterday. It really was a well managed & wonderful occasion. I was very pleased!
