After a year of taking my car to this shop for oil changes and enjoying the nice people here- the love affair is over. I called two weeks ago asking how much it would cost to install some new brakes and rotors on my car, I made it explicitly clear that I wanted to install my own parts. The gentleman confirmed it would be $94.60 for each hour of labor and it would be one hour for the front and one hour for the back. I then called back once I got the parts and confirmed with the gentleman who answered that it would be 2 hours of labor at $94.60 per hour and $40 for an inspection. I go in this morning to confirm what I was there for and I handed the front desk person a coupon for $20 off a $200 service, he then tells me he cant honor the coupon because Im not buying my parts from him and I quote "I cant let you take advantage of me, you already bought your parts now you want to use a coupon!" So fine, I was still more than happy to pay full price, but then he tells me that it will be $125.00 per hour of labor instead of the $94.60 I was quoted!!! He then goes into an analogy telling me "you wouldnt bring eggs to a restaurant and expect them to cook them for you!" Wow, just wow. Im taking advantage of you by not paying mark up on parts because I wanted a better set of rotors and breaks on my new car???!!! I will never go back there. They have lost a customer for life.

I made a visit to the Meineke shop in Ronkonkoma earlier this week to have the oil changed on my wifes 2007 Jeep Compass. When I arrived, two of the bays were empty, including the oil change bay. There were approximately 8-10 vehicles on location for a variety of services. When I walked in, nobody was at the counter, nor in the waiting area. As I was pulling a coupon out for a discounted oil change, a gentleman came in from the service area and immediately stated that they arent doing oil changes today. I didnt even have a chance to say hello or anything. So I asked why, and he stated that they were booked. Ok, maybe they were. But I know from experience that an oil change does not take very long to complete. Its a very simple task, and why they could not fit me in today is beyond me. I have been to Meineke shops all over the country, and never complained. The service was great. But this particular shop has poor customer service skills, and Im assuming (based on the fact that they could not fit in one extra oil change this morning) that their technical skills are poor as well. Unfortunately, because of this one experience, Im going to give the location a poor rating on Yelp, Facebook, and anywhere else that I can share my review on, because I dont want people to feel as insulted as I was today in your store. Meineke has lost my business.

2 years ago I had the muffler system replaced on my truck and we just found out that they installed the wrong size header and the flange is jammed against the transmission cover. They also routed the exhaust pipe too close to the fuel filter thats on the frame. Since day one we had nothing but rattles. We brought it back once they made a repair that didnt last long. My husband had to tie the tail pipe up because it came loose. Today we are going to have this repaired by someone else. We spent A LOT of money to have this muffler system installed and we shouldnt have to be spending more money to have their shoddy work replaced. At this point we arent even sure the existing system can be salvaged. Stay clear of Meineke.

Tell me how my husband takes my car there to fix the brakes since its making the screeching noise it makes when you need new pads and $411 later the same noise is still there? What does nobody test drive the car after to see if that was it? Or is it just plain truth that every mechanic wants to squeeze you out for as much as they can. Whats even funnier is that I looked up new brake pads and rotors (4) from 130-200 and yet I took it here and I spent double for two and didnt even solve my problem. What kind of business you running here? I thought if we took it to a chain business there would be more reliability and quality in the work yet they are no different than any mom and pop shop.

Visited Meineke in Ronkonkoma for an oil change and to check my brakes. thought I heard some brake noises. One of the techs, I believe his name was Cruz came out after inspecting my car and found the noise to be a dust shield on the front left wheel. They did my oil change promptly and told me I did not need brakes and that the noise is now gone after the test drive. What a pleasure to go to a shop thats clean and honest!!!! Waiting room was very cozy and friendly. ( loved the fireplace too. ) I would recommend all my friends to get their work done there. See you in 3,000 miles.

Decided to get my leak on my exhaust fixed on my 1999 Suburban Diesel and have it upgraded. I bought the exhaust online and brought it to Meineke in Ronkonkoma. I showed up at 7:15 am on a Saturday, there were people lined up outside. I spoke with Scott who was nice and professional and gave me a price for the job and said he could do it right then and there. The price he gave was reasonable and competitive. I picked up my truck later that day and the exhaust was installed professionally. I recommend Meineke in Ronkonkoma to other people. Thank you Mike

Once again, my experience with the Ronkonkoma Meineke is pure amazement. I have waited years to find a shop I can trust. Scott, Cruz, and Mike are true professionals who do not "oversell" but explain what is wrong and what is recommended to fix the problem. I have had them do work on three different cars, with three distinctly different issues: electrical, drive train, and mechanical. Each issue was solved after the first attempt, something I am not used to. Thank you guys for giving an honest option with extremely reasonable rates. Such a HUGE fan!

I went here twice for an oil change. I was charged a different price each time, one time they said I had a scrape plate that had to be removed and so it cost extra... they told me this after they did the oil change. Both times I needed an inspection and couldnt get it done because they didnt have any stickers. I needed yet another oil change and inspection so I called ahead and sure enough, no inspection stickers. I had been going here because its only a block from my house, but I wont be going here anymore.

Made an appointment and tried to have cars exhaust leak fixed twice was refused service both times said they "didnt know the job they agreed to do when I made the appointment" even though they were the ones who diagnosed the issue in the first place. Tell me job will take too long even though I brought the car in the early morning and confirm appointment time and issue that needs to be fixed. Never going here again waste of my time
