My daughters car was stuck in the water from the flood and after it dried out, she drove it down to Kohls and it stalled. We went to his shop the next morning to see if he could fix the car and asked him if he had a tow truck, he said yes and that he would bring it over right away and didnt mention anything about charging for towing across the street. He tried to charge us $60 for towing because he had to hire someone and we have AAA so we could have had it towed for nothing. Then he tells me that he had to fix the fuel pump and fuel filter and it would cost $310 and that was a break that he was giving us because the part would cost more money than he thought. We go there at 4:00 to check on him and hes fixing fuel pump and fuel filter and wont be ready until tomorrow. He says he will call tomorrow morning to let us know whats going on. He never calls so I go back at 10:00am the next day and he said when he has something to tell me hell call me and let me know. I never heard from him. I went back at 5:00pm, he closes at 6:00pm, he said the car is ready but it will cost over $700 because he did extra work which he never asked me if I wanted him to do. My plan was to have it towed out of there and brought to another shop after he finished with the fuel pump because we did not like his service/attitude. Now we cant afford to pay the extra money he wants and he refuses to release the car to me until I pay for work I didnt consent to. We requested to see the parts he removed from her car and he refused to show me until the car was paid for leading me to believe that he is going to get a junk yard part and give it to me. I called my mother and asked her if I could use her credit card to pay him, and she gave us the information. He refused to be paid that way and said we need to physically bring him the card because he doesnt want to manually punch it in. I had already told him that I was a single mother and didnt have a lot of money, and when I told him I would call the cops he said that they wont do anything because its a civil matter. He already knew that the police would do nothing and that he could get away with scamming me. He suggested I borrow the money from a friend to get the car back because until then, hes not letting it go. So I had to leave the car there. Now, tomorrow my daughter has to drive me to work in my car, and then take my car over to my mothers house to get her card even though I was there today once and I have to go back to him tomorrow. Hes going to "do me a favor" and wait for me at the shop so I can go pay him tomorrow. End of story.

This Auto Body place has the worse customer service! The owner is rude, over priced and just got really nasty with me. I pulled in with a flat tire. This place was right down the block from where I noticed the flat so I pulled in and asked how much to plug a flat tire. He said cheap, Ill take care of you. Then he has the nerve to charge $20 after his (nice) mechanic plugs the flat. When I told he that Ive paid $5 down the block, he said thats not his problem. I told him hell never get my business ever again, he said he doesnt need my business and to not come back. To all: You are better off going down Ronkonkoma Ave to the corner of Johnson to that auto body place. At there mechanics and owner are nice and fairly priced. What a mistake I made going to this place.

To begin with they wont give you any estimate, totally disorganized, but will definitely quote for labor or parts, when you find cheaper parts at dealers, they lie. They will hike the labor(without your knowledge). He will make the money that he has to one way or the other. Give reasons to keep the car for days, so that you believe them or atleast get desperate to get the car back, when you are finally done, you will have to pay more than the quoted price, because everything is oral. There are lots of professionals out there, we dont need the headache that too for the price. We almost reported him to BBB, but did not have any paperwork to report, unfortunately. We have to be a crook to deal with one.

I dont know what happens with the reviews below. I have been using Sam Auto Repair for 20 years. Sam is a very religious egyptian man. He cares and looks out for his customers. The shop inside is a little wacky and messy, but his work is good, and prices are honest.
