Heard really bad stories about this place. I would never send my child anywhere that apparently teachers arent attentive. Incident happened and teachers were too busy filing paper work and making snacks for the kids. Usually they have nap time so i would think that would be the time to file your preschoolers paperwork. Ive worked at numerous daycares before and this is definitely a lawsuit! You cant say you witnessed something happen when you were paying no mind to the kids. Ive worked in daycares before and normally its the staff that is fired immediately for not witnessing it and letting it escalate. Sorry but if you want your children to be watched try the kiddie academy. This place is NOT worth it. Had to edit this because the owner posted to this. I want to state i do not work for the kiddie academy and do not put my children there. Just stating an incident happened in their classroom to one of my friends kids within the past few days and they have no video surveillance as proof as well as the teachers stated themselves they didnt witness it because they themselves were preoccupied doing other things. Maybe instead of worrying about writing fake 5 star reviews they should sit the two parents down with the incident. Great way to handle things storybook kids!!!

I dont think I can speak highly enough about this child care facility. From the management on down to the teachers, its a professionally run establishment that not only takes care of children, but truly teaches them. We didnt know until our oldest started Kindergarten this year and we quickly realized how ahead of his classmates he and his peers coming out of Storybook Kids actually were. It is January and he is already reading books to us. I couldnt be happier with their results, not to mention the safety I feel in knowing theyre there. In reply to the slander from a recent reviewer, all entrants have their own private passcode so no one can sneak in, plus all entrants are greeted by staff immediately upon entering. It appears "lax", but that is because its such a family atmosphere that the staff knows every parents face, and anyone without a code or a face theyre unfamiliar with are addressed immediately. In terms of cleanliness, Ive never noticed any mess beyond what you would expect from an establishment filled with toddlers. And no, I have no relation to anyone here. Im just a satisfied parent who has been sending their children here for over 5 years now with my 4 month old having just started.

I am extremely pleased that I found such a great place for my daughter. As a working mother, I have struggled with finding good childcare since my daughter was born. I have had nannies and tried other daycares, but I have not had a positive experience until now. I was hesitant to try another daycare after my first experience, but Storybrook Kids has exceeded all of my expectations. Not only are they much more affordable than other daycares, but the owners (who I believe are new) are very pleasant and accommodating. Unlike my prior experiences, I do not have to worry during the day about my daughters well-being. Not only is she in a safe, positive environment, she is also in a stimulating one. She is talking more, putting more words together into sentences, and is more sociable. I am beyond pleased with this daycare and highly highly recommend it.

I just would like to say shame on you storybook kids. Im disgusted by your actions. I will tell everyone not to go to your center. You obviously do not have the qualifications to deal with ALL types of children. Attention parents: If your child is any bit of challenging do not send your children here. They WILL throw your child out with any bit of difficulty. My co workers child just got thrown out. Hes a young child still learning and making mistakes and rather than this "qualified" teachers coming up with innovative ways to work with this little boy, they discharged him. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED. I HAD CONSIDERED SENDING MY DAUGHTER BUT NO LONGER WILL.

We started here when we moved to West Islip last year. Having had my 3 children (ages 1, 5, and 8 years) with the same in home family day care for 7 years, I was worried about coming to a larger facility. We have been incredibly impressed with the teachers (owners and management) and how our children have been received and treated. The facility is very clean (smells like bleach as it should) and weve had no complaints. Id highly recommend it to anyone moving to the area. Nice, convenient and they love our kids.

This daycare center is amazing! My daughter has learned so much since attending and the structure is phenomenal, they even offer a dance program in the school that my daughter is attending during daycare hours! The teachers really care about their students one on one and everyone in the daycare center goes above and beyond to know you personally and really care for your child, im so happy I switched my child to this daycare and could not be happier!

The people writing these reviews Must be family. This place is NOT trustworthy in my observations. The place has NO security the front door code is public knowledge. The alarms that are on the classroom doors leading outside were on "chime" . As in one musical chime and thats it. The classes were filthy! Cleanliness is obviously not a priority. The furniture, garbage cans, refrigerators, etc were disgusting... Dump!

I couldnt ask for a better place to drop my son off while I go to work. My son is 2 years old and absolutely love Story Book Kids and their friendly staff. My older son will be attending camp there over the summer and he cannot wait. The daycare is very well kept and very clean. I would never consider another daycare/camp for my kids. I am very happy with Story Book Kids!!

I Give Storybook Kids a five star rating! I am currently employed at Storybook and I absolutely adore my job. The staff are pleasant to work with it and to be around. This is one of the nicest childcare centers I have ever seen. Everything is clean and updated. There is a lot of room for the kids to play and learn. The place is huge, but still has the feel of a home. The owners and staff are wonderful. Highly recommended!

Being a new parent and a working parent has its stress but storybook kids has certainly made our transition absolutely seamless. The comfort I feel every morning dropping my little one off is just what I was looking for in a daycare.
