Ive known Lenny of Hey Monkey! for several years, but had never had the opportunity to hire him, until my company needed custom screen printed tea towels for an event. My manager wanted the towels to hold up to several washings and be soft where the ink was applied, not plastic-y feeling like some screen printed items can be. You know that feeling of a t-shirt where the printed design feels heavy and eventually cracks. I knew this project called for water-based ink, and I knew just the man for the job. Oh and we also had a quick turn-around for this project. Lenny, of course, was up to the challenge. We encountered some problems that caused delays—the vendor we ordered the towels had a production issue and couldnt guarantee the towels would ship as promised. (Side note: this is a vendor I found and my company placed the order from directly). We didnt find out that the towels hadnt shipped until the day before Lenny was scheduled to print them. Panic ensued on our part as we frantically looked to source the towels elsewhere and have them to Lenny in time. We managed to find the type of towels we wanted locally and bought them all up. Lenny assured us that he could still get them printed in time. Lenny was very accommodating during these hurdles which helped alleviate some of the stress of the situation. The towels turned out great and we had them in time for our event! Thanks, Lenny, you saved the day!

Hey, so like the owner of Hey Monkey!...Lenny...is like this really cool guy. Turns out hes not only crazy talented, but a really nice guy. We used him to print out t-shirts and they turned out great. Lenny is super connected and an officer in AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) Raleigh chapter and a great guy to know. Buy something from him. Oh yeah, hes got a great story about how he ended up starting Hey Monkey!
