From the 1st phone call to Trey on Monday July 10 to picking up our mother from Somer on Thursday July 13, the City of Oaks Funeral Home made a painful situation painless. Treys kindness and compassion explaining the protocols involved in that 1st phone call put our minds at ease. We already had instructions from our mother and Trey was able to give us an initial package price up front which was a great help. From the moment we walked in the door and met the owner Edward to Funeral Scholar Somer handling all the details, we were treated with respect and compassion as though we were family. This gave us no doubt that our mother was treated with great care. Somer took us through all the paperwork and helped us with picking out a box that mom would like to be in, and also helped us pick out keepsakes. They have a beautiful selection items. They kept in touch with us and we picked up our mother on Thursday July 13. Although it was sad occasion, we left completely satisfied that mom would be happy about how the City of Oaks Funeral Home handled her. We can now focus on the rest of moms instructions. We as a family would like to thank Edward, Somer, Trey and the whole staff for being there for us in our time of loss. God Bless all of you.

This was the best experience i think we have had in this type of situation, it was fast, easy and affordable for a family member with no insurance. They made the process very easy compared to a lot of funeral homes. We were greeted with respect and also the price we paid was no more than what was originally quoted. I will definitely be recommending others.

This place has a kind staff that helps make an emotionally difficult situation a bit easier. Also, there is a gift shop that provided a bit of comic relief for anyone with a mildly inappropriate taste in humor.

Horribly rude, Edward was a jerk and completely unprofessional. They stored our cousin inappropriately and we ended up having to have a closed casket. Communication was sparse and curt. Anyone else will do.
