We had hardie board installed on a new house last year and called All About Painting for an estimate to caulk and paint the exterior. Their price was significantly lower than everyone else - it made me question whether they knew what they were doing. However, their references checked out and had good things to say so I hired them. The actual painting part looked good, but they told me that the expansion gaps between the hardie and the trim were too wide and the cost for caulk was more than theyd planned. What I didnt realize until after Id paid them was that theyd only caulked ONE wall - the one by the garage door. Im not unreasonable. I understand that a contractor doesnt examine every inch of a project before making an estimate and there could be unexpected costs. However, what they should have done was stopped working, explained the issue and how much the extra cost would be, and proceeded from there. Instead, they finished painting without the caulking done. Them not wanting to pay more for caulk did not cancel the fact that caulking needed to be done, but now, instead of just paying for more caulk, I have to pay for repainting, as well. His estimate for this was the same as the original estimate to do the entire job, so basically I was going to be charged double for the same job that wed contracted. His excuse was that the expansion gaps between the trim and the board were too wide. However, when I measured them, I found that most of them were within manufacturer guidelines - guidelines that he repeatedly told me when I argued with him about not doing the job. True, there are some spots that are up to 1/4" too wide, but not enough of them to justify not doing the contracted work at all. I wouldnt have minded paying extra for those areas, but he didnt even caulk the areas that met the manufacturer guidelines. He just decided that he had no obligation at all to fulfill the contract that he wrote. My husband and I have been doing the caulking ourselves. By the time we are done, well have spent about $200 for caulk. Not inexpensive but not a reason for All About Painting to not finish the job they were paid to do. I feel like All About Painting scammed us by underbidding this project and then refusing to do the contracted work. I do not recommend them.

Steve and his crew painted my house about a year ago. They did a fantastic job! The quality of the work is impressive and the paint job (exterior of my aluminum-siding house) has held up great. Steve was very friendly and gave a very good price. Two things I really appreciated about Steve and the company are: 1) Steve never tried to cheat me on price or quality. As a first time homeowner and a younger female, many of the contractors I talked with for different jobs on my home would try to advantage and give ridiculous quotes. Steve was always professional, fair, and nice. 2) A small section of siding had to be replaced right after Steve finished painting. For no cost, Steve came out a few days later and painted the new siding. Steve is great and All About Painting did a fantastic job!

We were very pleased with All About Painting and the quality of work they provided at a reasonable cost as we prepare to put our house on the market. We had the entire interior of the house painted, some new baseboards installed and painted, new doors painted and installed, along with some other miscellaneous cosmetic items. The owner and crew were pleasant and professional and the project was completed in a timely fashion. We were impressed with their level of attention to detail and will definitely hire them again for any work we may need done. If you hire All About Painting, you won’t be disappointed!!

steve and jake came to my house with another helper during a lot of moving chaos. They worked quickly and respectfully to not only finish in record time, but also planned their job to "work around" movers, furniture deliveries and family members. They were reasonably priced and completed two full floors and over 4000sf within a few days. They worked late hours just to ensure they were able to complete by our requested deadline. The job was well done and they were so eager to please us with any added requests.
