My "contract" was suppose to be up months ago. When I looked at my bank account I noticed that planet fitness had taken out money. I called and asked why and the lady informed me that the 12 month contract really only means that if you try to cancel within 12 months of being a member, you have to pay $50 to have it cancelled. And that the account doesnt cancel on its own, you have to come in and do paperwork. I had no idea. No one informed me. No emails, no calls, no letters in the mail. They had all my contact information and planet fitness never once tried to tell me what was necessary to cancel. I hate this place honestly. When I came in to explain I hadnt been contacted in any way about how to properly cancel the women working looked at me like I was crazy. So Ive been scammed out of $40-$50 since my membership was actually, in my head, "cancelled".

Everytime I have been to this gym the staff are very rude at night or late evening. All the boys do is hit on members at the gym or stand talking at the front desk flirting to busy to aknowledge that you are there trying to get a tanning bed turned on. The gym is much smaller than the other PFS. I usually drive out of my way to go to the tri County PF because the staff is always friendly and very helpful. The environment at there is a lot better than fairfield. It wasnt as bad when I first started going to fairfield but it has gone down hill a lot since it first opened. It seems like they will hire anyone.

Great place to work out. It was a struggle to get started (again) and for once, I feel comfortable enough to keep going. Truly enjoy working out here. The only negative, if there is one, is the staff is not always the most helpful. They are pretty young and seem to like to congregate and chat most of the time. There have been several instances where I have gotten in the tanning bed and no one has actually activated it meaning I would have to get out, get dressed and go back to the front to have them turn it on. Thats pretty frustrating but other than that, I am pretty happy.

I have belonged to this Planet Fitness for several years now. The staff has always been cordial, but Id like to single out one young man who goes above and beyond the call-of-duty to do a good job. I dont know his name, but he looks to be of Latino descent, he has dark hair, a goatee and possibly some tattoos. He always smiles and speaks when you come in and as you are leaving, but what really impressed me was to see him help handicapped members (by holding the doors open) and even assisting them out to their vehicle. I hope PF realizes what a good job this young man is doing.

The owner (Michael) is aggressive, judgemental and combative. He cancelled my membership (2+ years) because he said that I was "training" my friends when we were working out together. They were simply doing what I was doing. I wasnt giving them any instruction. I tried to clarify what his definition of "training" was and he would not give me a straight answer. He was very combative and angry and after him making a complete display in the gym looked at me and said, "you know what never mind, get the F____ out f my gym. I am cancelling your membership"

Good laid back location. Very good gym if youre looking for a hands-off, do-your-own-thing kind of gym. Its kind of nitpicky but one issue I had was the PF 30 minute workout circuit. Youre supposed to do the machines/steps in a specific order according to the numbers on the machines. The machines are in no specific order at all, arent all numbered in the same places, and many of their numbers are even facing close walls. I spent about 10 minutes just walking around that area trying to figure out which way I was going to have to go between stations!

Im a truck driver. So I had intentions to work out at this location. I drove all the way there after picking up my load to only find the parking lot was ropped off. Not only ropped off a sign saying no trucks. I felt like this is discrimination. As a truck driver we deal with obesity and diabetes, etc. As a planet fitness member I deserve to be able to workout regardless of what Im driving. Something needs to be changed about this issue.

Ive been a member at planet fitness for a few years now and ever time I go to the one in FAIRFIELD a young lady name Laura always goes out of her way to make sure that my vist there is pleasant.She does an awesome job on the bathrooms and the whole work out area.Laura is a very pleasant,friendly and helpful young lady.Thank you Laura for doing such an awesome job,keep up the good work.

Very clean and equipment is maintained in good working condition. They move the equipment to clean UNDERNEATH every piece! Staff friendly enough and always greet me and say "have a great day" on my way out. Ive never really asked for help on any equipment but presume they would help. No complaints. It has been fantastic for me.

The employees seemed to want nothing to do with the customers. It was my first time at that location so I expected someone to offer and show me around or ask how I was while wandering around, but no one was helpful. Also, there was no room to stretch out or do yoga on a mat.

I recently just joined and it is such a convenient place. They offer so much to gain progress for members there. Also, you really dont feel judged and theres always a positive vibe there. Its a nice little place if you need to get in shape or staying in shape. No complaints

I visit pf at night and I love the staff members at night! Specifically Laura, she is very polite and helpful, I love how clean the place is, and how helpful the staff is! Great job Laura! They need more staff like her during the day! Who arent so judgemental and rude.

Cannot cancel membership without coming into the location. They refuse to cancel over the phone, even after explaining that my wife and I have moved away. They make a lot of money off of people who cannot/dont use their membership. Complete bullshit.

This Planet Fitness location is such a great place to workout! The facility is always clean and the staff is always ready to help you with anything you may need. Plus, you cant beat the monthly price and the perks that come with the membership!

Very convenient with its central location which allows you to take full advantage of the basic membership. The only problem is that its not the biggest planet fitness out there and the small size of it can be boring and demotivating.

I love the no judgement atmosphere here! Very budget friendly for people who just need to go to the gym for an hour or so and stay in shape. I do with they had ropes at this location. Overall, I enjoy this gym!

Many employees during day. Less employees at night. Low interaction with people exercising. Clean environment. Dont expect super sets at night. Best work-out times are before 5 PM. Great value.
