I have been a loyal customer of Family Video for 6+ years now. I have been going to the Whitehall location for about 4 of those 6 years. I had an experience tonight at the Whitehall location that unfortunately will end my business relationship with Family Video all together. I was questioned by the store associate as to whether or not I rented the movies for two nights or one. I am not a person who likes handouts or freebies but the way that she questioned my principles and character was infuriating. She agreed to waive my fees since I asked for them for two nights and the store associate put them in for one. It isnt about the $4.00 in late fees that upset me but the principal of the matter and the disrespect that this associate displayed towards me, the customer. I then sent my husband in to turn in the movies. He explained to the store associate that he was my husband and that he was turning in the movies and she was to credit the account. She tried to lie to my husband and tell him that she spoke with the guy who originally checked me out and he said he didnt recall me asking for them for two nights. One, isnt that the store associates job to ask for one or two nights and Two, now you are basically calling your customers liars? This store needs improvement in training its employees how to treat its customers with respect. Safe to say I am not giving them my business anymore.

Selection of films is sparse, and I hate being hard sold on buying extra membership plans. My film 3 KNEE DEEP is also available at this location, distributed worldwide by redbox as well. Staff simply didnt seem to give two craps. nice to have support for my work from a local retailer. Maybe they were too busy trying to sell me stuff to realize the accomplishment of getting a film into stores all over the world.
